That much for a KO of a decade old mold?? Maketoys and even Toyworld's versions can't come fast enough to shut down Takara's and greedy KO makers use of that ancient toy design.

Hell, even Optimus Prime molds see it as over milking the mold.

I prefer their Dr. Wu name... the "Rear Guard", Conehead still makes me thing of a SNL sketch.

As for the mold, I wish someone would KO the Leader Seeker mold, but fix the problems and fill the hollow bits. Then release it as every Seeker.

    It turned ugly REAL fast.

No, I'm afraid we can't. Only a mod can do us that favour.
We can, however, add you to our Ignore Lists.

    Consider it done. :locked2:

Looks like they're using Takara's photos for their Dirge and Thrust listing. I guess they don't have anything to show yet, but it might end up confusing newbies.

I actually think the Ramjet KO has a nicer looking facesculpt than Takara's. No starved cheeks and his headcone is sharper and better shaped. Probably because it doesn't have to conform to any transformation gimmick.

Upon closer inspection of Ramjet I'd say, head/cockpit and wings are IGear, body/arms and legs are the standard MP11 as it doesn't have the huge kneecaps. The torso should transform the same as MP11 too so no clever rotating the cockpit and the Conehead being the actual nose of the plane, it does mean the back of the robot should be tidier and peg in though. The thigh details are IGear too iirc.

I heard that Toymecha went bust and BB7 bought their designs? These don't look great to me. I actually prefer Takaras Coneheads to this I think and I'm not a fan of MP-11 at all.

Guess I'll be hoping for Maketoys to show a Seeker mould?

i dunno, I kinda like the ramjet mode better than takara. I hate the huge kneecaps on takaras. I would prefer to get a different mold altogether, though. another ~400 for a mold I've already spent so much on irritates me a bit.

I think the heads look a bit undersized, and I'm wondering if since the chest section is hollow when it's together for jet mode, why they couldn't use the Takara head or at least take some cues from it and give these suckers heads that are a bit better proportioned. Otherwise, I don't really mind this build and probably prefer it to Takara's.

I'm not saying Takara's MP11 molds suck but seriously at $200 a pop for the Coneheads is just ridiculous, not when you could get the Hasbro versions a few years ago at TRU before they jacked up their prices for like $70 to $80.I really hope Hasbro do get these and they are within that price range.Takara has just got too expensive.

Also even tho the KO's may be a fair price at $120 that is still too high for me to pay for a knockoff,no matter how good the plastic quality is.

And how does the age of the mold factor any more towards high quality KOs that include shipping really matter than their official versions? Sounds like you just have buyers regret more than anything.

How could I possibly have "buyers regret" when I clearly say I'm waiting for Toyworld and Maketoys to finish their conehead and seeker molds?? :lol

If you want to talk about high quality KOs, look at Wei Jiang's oversized Mp-10 and Evasion mode Prime: way bigger, full of metal, actually redesigned in a way that changes the look of the initial mold AND cheaper than this carbon copy of Takara's sad overmilking.

No, you said you can't wait for their versions to come out. Quite different than saying you didn't buy this version, which knowing so many MP collectors do, buy stand ins against their better judgement.

And good job over looking the fact these seekers have added die-cast and fixed torsos that make them better than your over milked takara versions.

But great to know you're just another whiner that didn't actually buy one of these and just want to complain for the sake of complaining.

Yeah, I bought the toy. Sure, whatever dude : lol

Man, hope you don't quit your day job 'cause with that laughable guess work you wouldn't even cut it as a cheap carnival fortune teller.

But simmer down, don't let me spoil your enjoyment of your 120 toy. Totally worth it. Wei Jiang should learn from these guys and skip actually heavily reworking molds and just up their price to just 30% off of what Takara overcharges already.

Isn't this thread a bit redundant? There is already the KO seeker thread where there is tonnes of info in the bb7 Coneheads, KBB seekers, and bb7 seekers, plus lots in between.

Not sure if splitting off a separate thread will help things any...

Right now for Coneheads kos it's just the bb7 Coneheads I'm aware of coming out in Oct. See my signature for details.
