They got a lot of things right with this, but they also missed a lot of opportunities. They didn't give him the full treatment that Savio Prime did. There's still no wrist swivels, the feet are still too large, etc. Overall, I think the MPM Bumblebee has better proportions (just slightly). And while it's great that he scales well with WJ Optimus, I am not prepared to revise my entire movie collection to fit that scale, especially with MPM Optimus and the Dream Factory figures on the horizon. I say all this now, but if I see it for a good price, I'll probably end up buying it. Because I'm a sucker
All this + they went above and beyond, and then just nuked their hardwork by giving him inaccurate stripes
i was thinking to preorder (never done it before) but i have some questions what if the price go up on tf-direct? the pre-order pilicy is that they dont ask for more money right? but they also say something about ""wrong prices"" and im like "hmmmmm" and last question is when do they stock? do they stock last than other stores?
According to TF's policy if you pay in full, you lock in the preorder pricing. If you only pay a partial deposit, the price could potentially get adjusted.
Man. Man o man o man o man o man. To me WJ all the way... except for the lack of wrist swivels or ankle tilts. That, to me, is very disappointing.
I don't have a problem with a slightly enhanced Voyager ?HA size Battle Blade Bumblebee at all - being bigger should make shoehorning it back into car mode a lot easier for a start.
I hope his visor is plastic (we know the toy has some die cast somewhere). that edge over his eyes really isn't shaped properly. I'll almost certainly address that as long as it is plastic.
You know who'd be great to follow this? I'd LOVE to see them give the same treatment to the takara (movie accurate) Side Arm Sideswipe.
The "Detective" version is the nicer mould but there is an even bigger one if having Hound bigger is what you need - it just lacks the mould improvements that the smaller one has.
