crazy work schedule for last couple of months so I haven’t had a chance to really move this too far forward.
I’m also hoping that Santa Claus may bring me a resin printer. If that happens, then I may be able to come up with a way to supply this to a pretty high standard finish and hopefully for a reasonable price. It would be unpainted, but at least the parts would be physically on point.
i should also have a bit more time over the Christmas break to keep working on the designs.
I will keep you all updated.

    ok...barely.

So, I received a DLP resin printer for Christmas and I’m a bit intimidated to get started with it it’s a different ball game to filament based printing and it’s scaring me a bit.
That, and a new found addiction to PUBG has stalled some of my designing/printing

However, i decided to motivate myself this evening to transform my modified Longhaul, scrapper and mixmaster to see how they fit together in the combined mode.
Happy to report, everything fits well.
I didn’t try my modified hook as I am still working on resolving some issues with him.

So, I am going to try and get my act together and some time over the coming weeks, make more progress with this guy.

Sorry it’s taking so long. It’s been a very complex project with many challenges, due to the very tight tolerancing on some parts.

    I will get this done!!

    Cool
Is the articulation improved in any fashion?

no articulation improvements in the combined form yet. I felt the designers per much nailed that with the stock design. Only big exception being the hands, which I do plan to do something with.
I will also get to shoulder adaptors too at some point.

Scrapper and Mixmaster can actually have three clicks for the ankle tilt instead of two. For Mixmaster, you just....do it I guess hehe
Then for Scrapper you have to open him up and cut away at some plastic inside to gain access to that hidden, third ratchet! It’s there believe it or not

I’ve been working on a couple of things.
    1. Redesigning Longhauls arms. The new arms replace the stock ones completely, except for the wheels - which transfer across to the new ones.
    2. I started to think about Devastator a bit more and began designing an extension system for his upper body that sits between Longhaul and Hook. This will then open up the transition into the shoulder adapters that I will be working on soon. I’d say this mod adds about an extra half inch or more to the overall height. It also allows Longhauls new, bulkier arms to blend in a bit more when in combined mode.

Thank you. I just wish I had the time to get through it faster.

    Also, some kinda good news.
Someone purchased a trial version of Scrappers arms that I loaded on shapeways.
The kit ended up being reasonably priced and from the feedback I’ve received, seems very close to being ready for wider consumption.
I need to tweak some tolerances on some of the parts, but I will try and do that tomorrow.
I will let everyone know when it’s done.
But, that is probably the biggest mod you can add to this set at the outset to make the biggest difference....articulated arms and hands.

Scrapper arm kit is on Shapeways.
    tolerances have been adjusted.
For some reason, the first test print of this set had loose tolerancing despite the 3D models having very tight tolerances.
Well, I’ve pulled the tolerances in further which should address any looseness.

I would just say install with caution and if it seems too tight, just do a little light sanding to take things down a notch.
