This is spectacular and I'm following with interest. How big are these guys as individuals, relative to CW limbs?
Hi. I bought my Devy through Show Z but you can get the figure through a variety of places. I went through Show Z for the extra quality guarantee.
I’ll see if I can get what I’ve done so far uploaded next week. I’ll put the designs up on shapeways for those who don’t have printers and then for those who do, just let me know and I’ll do a deal on the Stl files.
Sure. Whether I can do it or not depends on how complicated it is. Lol. My email is afcmods@gmail.com If you want to email me about the request, we can talk more about it.
Here is the next step in this project. I’m almost there with a design that’ll work for Hooks arms. It may not be for everyone because I had to sacrifice one of the rear wheels and make it a faker, in order to get the design to feature an upper arm swivel. That said, I think hooks vehicle mode is one of the weakest in this set and I’m not sure a fake wheel really detracts that much from the overall look. Guess I’ll find out when it’s finished. Still have to finish the design for the lower arm. This has been a tricky part of the project as the starting point for these arms was so poor in terms of what to build on and the designers did a frustratingly good job of integrating these awful arms into the overall transformation to Devastator. Anyway, here’s an update.
Hi. I will charge a fee for the files but when I’ve done that in the past I try to be as reasonable as possible. I prefer to do it that way because of the number of parts involved in these types of projects makes a printed solution through Shapeways, or something else, very expensive.
Finished the lower parts of hooks arms and hands this weekend. Full arm replacement in place, lol. Gives upper arm swivel, elbow bend and wrist rotation. Also now can hold a 5mm peg weapon.
Thanks. Yes. Just Tinkercad. I’ve heard good things about other platforms, like Blender, but I like the simplicity of Tinkercad. Although, the trade off is that some more complex designs may probably be done a lot easier and faster using something else.
