I am not an MISB collector but what makes these distinguishable? Just curious? Is it the bubble and Peghole?

The Boxes Aren't That Bad. I Wouldn't Mind Getting These.

 

Pretty soon every G1 figure is going to be remade by this company.

 

As someone who owns all 3 of the real thing misb, I must give even more of a BOO to these than usual. I still don't get why they'd make the Insecticons though, aside from the 'pretend I have G1 misb' appeal (which the seller doubfac appeals to with his 'so rare to find misb' claim in the auction), which who knows maybe alone does get them enough sales, but otherwise they can be found in good condition on the cheap for their authentic vintage counterparts (what, $15 each tops?) so why pay so much more for a fake who's quality will be questionable (especially paint flaking off their metal chest, amongst other concerns).

They are pretty easy to tell the difference though. It looks like they've done something to over-pink the purple on the boxes, but even short of that the bubble placement is WAY OFF.

I mean way off. They are all way too far to the right. Here's my real product which clearly illustrate the difference:

 

I honestly don't see the appeal. It would be like taking Spiderman #1 to Kinkos and having a Color copy made and bound, then framing it on your wall and pretending to have Spiderman #1.

In 10 years we are going to have people claiming these MISB KOs are REALZ!

 

The fact that there are at least three different box styles in this thread isn't exactly helping, but even then I can still see the major differences compared to the authentic ones. Hope they keep it up like that.

The same seller has a preorder for Metrotitan, so i'm going to go with the second one.

American: English only.
Canadian: English and French.
European: Lacks the "Transforms from.... to.... " blurb on the front panel.
