Big time!

Looks like he's 11mm wide x 12mm tall. GT's is ~12mm wide x 10mm tall, so it'd look a little something like this:


I think I'm in love. I don't know that he could do gun mode with the added height, but I'm liking that a LOT more than GT's head, and I think I've transformed this guy maybe twice.

I saw this thread talking about the same thing I did with my DX9 WIP Mightron and the MFT KO. I never liked DX9's head sculpt and prefer the KO overall as a legends Megatron. But the rest of my legends collection is in the DX9 scale so I did the head and cannon swap. I think it was mentioned earlier--the neck peg on both are about the same width but you have to cut the longer length of Mightron's. The slot in MFT's cannon is larger than MIghtron's arm peg so you need to use Future or something else to get the cannon to attach. Couple of cons are you can't fit the larger head in gun mode so you'll need to remove the head or swap it out if you transform it. The other issue is the head isn't the same finish as the body but it's not really a distraction. The head swap looks good enough until Magic Square or someone else designs a new toon Megatron in the DX9 scale.

 

That is an excellent head size! Looks great!!!!!!

Nope, it’s a Legends+ release.

Depending on your shelf, it might not look out of place.

Or, just give Mego’ a space of his own, perhaps.

I think I'll wait and see if Pocket Toys does a 1:1 KO like they did with the seekers.

 

They made a LOT of changes, including switchable faceplates and many, many more accessories, as well as a very different deco:

So, far Megatron isn’t a high priority, but I’d get this guy even though he’s probably a little too big for my shelf...unless Iron Factory or someone else teases a Legends IDW Megs, for instance.

But, that face and that segmented chain mace are such massive improvements that this might be more like a mini-MP if it had just a bit more posability.

 

Wouldn't it be considered flail with the way they gave it a handle?

 

He's worth getting even if you dont have any legends.

 

Do the weapons that come with the MFT version fit in DX9's Megs' hands
