I have seen many pics of Double Dealer original and KOs. But I do admit to still being confused about the very close KOs.

Can any of you recall how to tell the difference from the original and high quality KO? *Please* list the clear differences

I think there are no "extra" high quality DD bootlegs. I have a good quality BB bootleg, but you can tell the difference by the plastic quality (which you can't tell by pictures alone) and the color. Mine has no red color, and the PM partners are also off color.

can we also tell a KO DD from the colors of the powermaster components?
Wrong colors of the wings? For the legs?

 

There are actually different Doubledealer bootlegs. Some have almost the correct hue while others miss some paint apps. The most common way to tell an original from a KO is the powermaster partners. The KOs don't have the same color as the originals.

 

and in either case there has to be a Hasbro or Takara stamp somewhere I assume  

 

Yeah, the trademark stamp is located inside the purple chested compartment where you store his condor head.

That link is fun to look through. I wish I had that mini max, I have one w/ the head that does not transform.

 

I think Toyhell still has him available. He also shows up on Ebay quite often.
