Of the 2 shown here what version is better?
I'm sure its not as good as the G1, but I want a filler.
Sorry if this was asked before, but I cant find a thread about it.

the one in the first pic is much smaller than the original devastator. the second one is terrible quality and will break at the slightest touch. neither have chrome or metal parts, they both have a lot of sloppy molding, bad materials, and pretty much suck.

And they're both worth twice what you'd pay for them because they look like devastator, transform like devastator and everybody who sees it will know 'hey, that's devastator!'

For Devi, there really isn't. They are all total crap (and all cost under $5). There is one that is very close in scale but also crap (and the pieces, though looking quite similar, don't fit with the real G1er).

Things like the Devis and the other combiners (the cheap ones with mixed limbs) are really just dollar-store type knockoffs though so it only makes sense that they are crap (the only one that doesn't suck beyond belief imo is the ko Ruinition (yellow/gold and camo Bruticus), and even it is just so damn cheap materials wise).

I know they're ugly colours, but if cost is a major concern for you G2 Devi can often be gotten complete for about half way in price between the KOs and G1 Devi (I got one on ebay for around $30).

i had the walgreens yellow devastator and it was total crap, but i got a green one off of ebay in packaging similar to the Raiden KO's and the plastic is a lot better and nothing has broken on it. Also the head mold seems to be a lot lot better than the dollar store ko's.

I have never seen a green devastator in stores around here....just the yellow one

Well those 5 bucks aren't going to cut you that much in buying a G1 original, so you might consider buying one as a stand in while you save. There is a version packed as a whole combiner, in the same package (just bigger) as those numerous mini and micro versions you see on ebay. I bought a Defensor in 1:1 scale that was packed like that and it is pretty decent. My Defensor has some issues, like some loose joints, bad stickers, etc. But as long you play safely with it, and don't force things, I have no fears of breaking it. And it's an awesome display piece, fits in my G1 collection shelf pretty good.

Yup, but I the first Defensor I bought was packaged that way, and its crap. Not an utter crap, but crap none the less when I compared it to my second KO Defensor. I'm not saying the one packaged like my second Defensor will be good quality, with KOs yo never know for sure. If I could find the one packaged like the one you've shown, but in a red box with chinese lettering at the top, like Bumble Prime said, I'd bite. Pay heed, the ones in red box with chinese lettering must have chrome wheels.

I have three of Walgreens KO's (this devs, bruticus, and superion).

The only one that is any good (i.e. decent) is Bruticus, which isn't all that bad.

Devs is very fragile, and once I got him into combined mode..hasn't been touched other than to get him on display. The quality on his is really bad (and I was warned of this before I got him), but I had some cash to blow and it'll do until I get a G1 devs..which I have no plans to anytime soon.

I have that one, it sucks, do not buy it.

I found the smaller one at Big lots a couple of years ago, it's about 2/3 the size of the G1 figure, but the quality is very nice for a KO.

I used to have that one, but one day I looked at it the wrong way and it broke.

Seriously, it's a waste of money.
