Funny find at Big Lots for $4.99. Here are some pics of the guy next to a real Rattrap. This guy also comes with a gold sword and a small soft plastic lizard dude. Overall, the toy is a bit sturdier than most KOs I've handled, and the fit and finish is a bit better too. Here you can see that the KOs tail is only articulated at three points (beginning, middle, end) as opposed to the continuous articulation of the original:
I've seen those at my local Big Lots, and been tempted to buy one for only $5.00. He needs some painting though, but that might be a fun project.
He's worth the $5, IMO. The plastic is pretty tough, except for his rat head shell; it's on the thin and flimsy side. And yeah, I do agree that he could use some paint.
Yeah, saw tonnes of those KOs at Big Lots this weekend. Funny was that the g/f ponted them out to me.
It has quite a few years on the market, but yeah looks nice. That sword is from the original Primal, but the chrome makes it look great...
Yeah Biglots here has had him ,TM 2 Megs , Rid Megatron , and a few other oversized kos for awhile. Picked em all up thinking that I would've regretted it down the road if I did'nt They're not bad. They also have the original BW Rattrap, Stinkbomb, Armordillo and some ko Scarabs. Also a few more smaller ones ant remember which ones. The ko BM Primal is probably the most show accurate BM Prime available. But it's no where near as cool as Air Attack Primal pic http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v148/loebig/Knockoffs/septhauls023.jpg
I've almost bought the Optimal Optimus KO they have several times now. I was so disapointed with the KO Primal, I'm afraid I'll be wasting $10.
The KO Primal from a few years ago was pretty decent, very close to the real thing but obviously, very low quality, and missing some pieces (like the red rods on the feet, or the chest plate). Later a 2nd version came, with horrendous molding and pretty much crap (the head became something squarish, detail was lost, etc) KO TM Primal is very meh, arms can turn at the bicep, only have a single fist (remolded to have two thumbs), fragile knees, and only comes with one missile Finally, the Op Op KO (original colors at least, never saw the repainted in militar camo) was extremely good, better quality than the others, all the detail present (only minimal spots were left out, like the detail on the head crest), no clear plastic or missiles, but overall, very good
The only one of these I've bought was the raccoon with the yinyang symbol on his chest. He comes with what appear to be moonshine jugs or lanterns or something as weapons. Too weird to pass up.
I got both of the OpOp kos. The camo one is only camo for the head and missles. The rest is red, white, and yellow. They are both of equal quality. I'd say the only minor part of it his head and missles don't come attached and when they are attached it doesn't rest on the chest the way it should.
