(Box) - mock henkei box, with the Botcon Shattered Rodimus image and some scribbled font, that reads "RODMUS"... though the "i" is kinda there-ish. the back is solid purple, and sadly they didn't add a KO Botcon tech card. (Toy) the car mode is nice. Only weak paint app is the silver stripe on top. It's kinda faded near the top like a pseudo gradient. -Bot mode... The plastic is cheap, but solid. ..Doesn't have the standard Botcon Shattered Rodimus facial hair paint.. more like a Hitler with an added goatee underneath and less of a evil Spock fu-manchu-ish deal. The elbow/mid arm joint is not molded with an angle, DO NOT BEND... : Will need to shave it away with a razor to create an angle before you can use his arms. Other then that, it's not too bad. Once I sort out his face.. It'll be a nice addition to my Classic E-Hobby Collection. (Yeah! That's right!) I purchased the figure not as a Shattered fan, but to be Classic Black Rodimus. LOL.. Yeah Kate needs a hair cut... The elbow does actually bend, the offending plastic is weak and smooths over. But.. that's if you wanna' risk it. 40$-? hmm. I'd have to say yes, mainly because it's not as expensive as the original,but still does the trick. I already sorted his face out. One thing I deleted from my original write up was the following. "The shoulder joints showing stress marks from just being transformed and I didn't even move the shoulders.." This is actually true, his grey shoulder joints are looking more white now. I got 40, not 500, and the Rodimus mold is kinda so-so, but still appealing. The Black Rodimus is more solid and durable feeling then RTS Rodimus lol, though the RTS Rodimus transforms easier.. *New Pics, one with Shattered-esque KOtoys scout/legend Warpath. **Rod-Emo has fixed up goatee.
I did not get any of the Hot Rod based armor sets, but.. The Only thing that may cause an issue to armor useage is... his back pack with the wings doesn't sit 100% flush/flat on his back. -this may just be mine. plus I don't think the back pack is used by the armor other then holding the wing extensions.

Indeed, the back is just foe the wing extentions, the torso armor just need the chest and the pelvis to attach on Rodimus
My fren just got it & there is a problem with the face of Rodimus because the nose seems to wear off or something sort of.
I got mine last week and there are some stress mark issues and I was able to fix the goatee by using a Gundam marker. For a display piece it works great and fits in my Scythe beautifully. I feel its a solid buy for what I want it to do.
