I was completely surprised after seeing this news post : Transformers the Movie Early Synopsis and Characters - the Ani-Bots Revealed - Transformers News - TFW2005 I have two “Anibot” toys with me (broken yes… but still got ‘em). I thought them to be KOs… I still think they are. It must have been a huge coincidence that a company called Leader Shine has developed some Transforming toys called Anibot and are heroic. But after reading the news post and thread, I thought of sharing these pics with our members. I got the toys somewhere back in 1997 or so. The team consists of Lionbot (Lion), Pumabot (Tiger), Eaglebot (Eagle), Bullbot (Buffalo). No Rhinoceros though. They all can Transform from Animal to Robot and then to Limbs for the combination. I have the packaging with me as well. Wasn't able to grab the other two toys cuz they were all sold out. Sorry about the picture quality... that's the best I got. Edit : Three more pics of half-combined mode http://img210.imageshack.us/img210/1781/030120111866.jpg http://img707.imageshack.us/img707/7139/030120111870.jpg http://img836.imageshack.us/img836/511/030120111871.jpg
Yeah, those are actual KOs unrelated to Transformers. I feel like I've seen the designs somewhere (Sentai perhaps?) but they're not TF KOs.
Could it be the same series as Go-Saurer in Japan? there is a series from that vein that has a humanoid,Eagle and Lion robot....
I've seen this for years. It's not Sentai, Eldran or any Japanese super robot I've ever seen. I think it might be an original Chinese toy, that's simply been copied over and over.
They're knockoffs of Shadow Dagwon's Guard Wolf and Guard Lion from Brave Command Dagwon. Like most of Champion Crown / Leader Shine's knockoffs, they're completely remolded, just leaving the transformation and basic shape in tact. And, of course, the combination is totally new as well.
I have all 4 of these, but in different packaging (as Funtastic Convertors - "Fighters In Disguise!" I know, right?). They were recently available in the UK in Poundland stores. And they have absolutely brilliant names: -Wolf Vanguard, -Tiger Bodyguard, -Male Eagle King (I kid you not), and... ...Fierce Cow Monster. They're extremely dodgy quality, and they're utterly hilarious. I'll get some pics up tomorrow.
#2. Tiger Bodyguard! (Like Wolf Vanguard, he is leaning back not because he's a mellow kind of guy but because his joints are utterly terrible)
But wait! There's MORE! Here comes.... ...THE COMBINED MODE! You may now proceed to LOL mightily. I know I did.
Thanks Draven!!! I can't believe these guys are still available. When I bought these loooong time ago, one figure was approx US$ 3.00. How much for one now?
Well, Poundland is a UK store that proudly boasts that "everything is £1", so that's how much each of them was. I'd never seen them before I found them in there; I picked up 3 at the same time, but they didn't have the 4th, so I didn't think I'd be able to get him. But I went back a few days later and there he was.
I have these guys but mine aren;t as cool as Draven's since the bull wasn't labeled as "Fierce Cow Monster"
