It was good seeing the Hoff in there at the end. Nice way to pass the torch off to the next generation.

I still have hopes that the series will get better. This showing seemed to have one goal only: to sell more Mustangs and Focus' (Foci?)

I like the new KITT simply because I love Shelby Mustangs.

I sincerely hope the series will get better. Then I can add another show to watch along with HerOes and The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

Now we need an Airwolf remake.

Unfortunately this was clearly written by a corporation. It lacks any of the heart from the original series. I could care less that the mother died. Michel Long's partner barely had any screen time and I cared more about him. And Wilton's Knight death made you feel for the character. Heck I was kind of sorry when they killed Tanya in the original pilot. Kitt lack's the I'm arrogant but trying to be human factor of the original. Hoff played Michel Knight better in the original and had much better character motivation. The series lacks the humorus Devon character as well. I guess I'm just too big a fan of the original series, because I find this one lacking.

 

Again, I completely agree. Aside from not living up to the original, I just felt like the remake didn't even make for good tv. It was really slow moving, the characters were all generic and weren't helped by poor acting, and it completely lacked spirit or originiality. If anything, they took the original formula, and then stripped it down. Hell, even Knight Rider Season 4 was better. I'd have rather watched RC3 get his vigilante on any day.

 

Now that's what I'm talking about.

Honestly, it was a two-hour (counting commercials) movie. Can we really judge the entire series from it? Sure we can get an idea of how some things will be done, but it's comparable to the TF:A situation where people chose to hate it after the first movie. You have to give it a chance.

 

Go rewatch the original, then tell me it isn't better.

 

Well I hope the people that did not like it give it a chance as I really liked it and I am very picky in terms of show remakes, As I thought that Knight rider 2000 tv movie made a few years back really sucked! I don't watch much tv but I will support this show. You can only fit so much content in right away without confusing people and I think they did a excellent job at doing so. Please also keep in mind that this is geared at old fans and new viewers so it must have appeal to both.

 

I see what your saying and I've given it a chance, I'll probably even watch a couple eps, but so far I don't like what I'm seeing.

 

I can't see anything here to appeal to anyone but Mustang fans and owners. The show was just plain boring and lacked spirit and originality. This should have aired during the superbowl, as it was just a lengthy ad. Honestly, I thought the Ford Sync commercial tie-ins were more entertaining than the show itself.

 

I liked it. Nice update to the original, and it actually aknowledges the old show. Doesn't appear to be a new BSG style angst fest, either.

They need to ditch the over reliance on fully rendered vehicles, though. It doesn't look any better here, than it did on Viper. Honestly, I swear TKR's plane was better rendered than that plane at the end of this KR.

Hoping this makes it to series, and runs for a while.

Yeah, then I could stand by this show. KARR could be voiced by Macho Man Randy Savage. Only in dreams.

 

Huge fan of the original. I'm gonna see how this goes. I don't like Val as KITT at all, and he seems too bland. The character of KITT in the original was done much better.

It's certainly better than watching reality shows, tho...

Yeah, there was a lot of sub-par CG going on here, and that plane looked awful. It's funny since after Transformers came out, the creators said that it showed them that the technology existed to revive the franchise in a modern way. The tech they used was definitely nothing new or impressive.

 

Man, Will Arnett would have been perfect. Val Kilmer's just sad as KITT. I too was surprised that the Turbo Boost went unused. I would have bet money that they'd throw fans a bone on that one, as it's a Knight Rider staple.

Well I am not into Mustangs but the appeal is the same as the original "a talking car" lol.....I do not think it was boring as it was to make people aware of what the base of the show will be as you might have all the facts about the original show but a new viewer may not. Also it might seem like a commercial but stop and think for a sec? this is a TF board right? is not every TF episode a 22min commercial? Sorry dude as I respect your opinon but just do not agree and stated why.
