This was a commission project for the same guy that picked up my Steampunk Grimlock off of e-bay. He was a fan of the paint job, and wanted something similar for the Choo Choo Prime. Used a lot of different weathering techniques on him for that "used" look. Enjoy!
Oh my God, the alt mode is fantastic. The weathered copper look is brilliant. What a lucky guy to have the Grimlock and now this.
It looks brilliant mate! However, if I may, I'd give: 1. some weathering effects on those horns that are sticking up around the midsection of his vehicle mode (yellow, like oil stains would look great on them) 2. add dark burnt out effect around the tip of the smokestack. 3. darken and give a gritty looking texture on the wheels. But if a cartoon/comic look is what you are after, then it looks great as it is. Great job!
WOW that is Amazing Brother, i mean ,man. so many details, the oil look on the front, ware and tear, metal look, Rust. Ive never thought i would like this Prime Mold, but now i Do. Thanks for putting him up on here cause he looks Grand bro. (Grand lol?)
The weathering effects look fantastic. I love this version of Prime. I just wish I could afford to buy one.
I think it's neat to see you focusing on your painting since you've focused on your sculpting for so long. Great work, buddy
It's very nice. The weathering effect is t.o.p. notch. By the way, did you do a custom paint or -just- a standard paint to make the weathering effect? Again, it's great!
Great job, that looks awesome!! I don't know what else to say, these other guys took the words right out of my mouth... I love the paint/weathering/detailing, he looks so realistic.
WOW! I can't describe how amazing that looks! I was planning on purchasing this figure because I thought the mold was so cool, but now I'm just going to think about how great your looks and how mine is the way Hasbro made it...and...well...maybe I will just print out a picture of yours and put it on my shelf lol.
