If they weren't there, he'd look less like Tigatron. Those ridges are on the hinge apparatus that, on the toy, helps flip the head around for the mutant mask face, and on the cartoon's CGI model they're just there. (albeit green)

Not only that, but even if they did want to do it and somehow could, that would push Cheetor past his $20 budget. And since the next price point is $30, I doubt people going to agree to pay that. You can't just throw in parts from other molds and expect to stick to the same budget.

 

The world wouldn't have ended if they'd charged an extra five bucks for Netflix Cheetor. Or add some effects parts and make it 30.

Not to mention the fact that the company set its own budget in the first place.

If the CEO of Hasbro walked in and said "Cheetor has to have his gun", it would've gotten done somehow.

 

I think this is the most cartoon accurate figure in kingdom we got in terms of BW.

 

They can't charge an extra anything. Outside of exclusive release situations, they only sell figures within their established price points which they've worked out with retailers. They're not going to renegotiate a price point for a single figure within a size class, that's not how retail works in America.

Aside from that, they're still not going to pull two molds and waste all that plastic to make Tigatron's gun just to put it with another figure.

 

I mean, could have they treated Cheetor like they did SS86 Hot Rod and sold him in the voyager class with both guns, enhanced engineering, and blast effects? It's not a bad idea, especially with one of the a-list Beast Wars characters. Maybe it happens in the future!

 

Then people would complain about spending $30 for Cheetor when the larger Tigatron that has mostly the same engineering base is also $30.

 

So if Brian Goldner had really had his heart set on including Cheetor's gun with Cheetor (or at least Netflix Cheetor), there would be absolutely no way for him to have made it happen? Forces beyond the control of even the highest levels of the company have all come together to render it completely impossible?

I don't know, I think it's more likely they just didn't care enough.

 

That's not how any of that works. A CEO can't skip over all those lines of communication, department heads and everything else involved with that process to make a decision like that. Your CEO can't go directly to you, tell you to complete a project and the overtime, extra expenses and extra staffing gets automatically approved in order to make it happen. These things are a process that need to be followed in order for the process to actually work.

And a CEO would not be involved with a process like that anyway or with anything anywhere near that level, it's not his job.

 

So your answer is yes, it's literally impossible at all levels, all the way to the highest one, to get Cheetor his gun? No human on this earth would have the power or ability to give Cheetor his gun?

Damn, the cosmic forces of the universe must really hate Cheetor.

If it had been designed with the gun in mind from the start it'd be a different story, but the Cheetor we got wasn't designed with a gun in mind and likely will never get a gun unless it comes in an accessory pack like the guns for Bumblebee and Cliffjumper, Sideswipe's jetpack and Prime's axe
