I think it's just because they didn't have files from the MPs to base headsculpts after. It's painfully obvious that the non-MP characters have heads built from scratch or based on something else, whilst the other just reuse the MP sculpts. It's easy to port one static model from whatever program they use into another and simplify it.
The only exclusive Tigatron that we know of is the Golden Disk Collection redeco, which will be stocked on Amazon in the distant future.
Well, this is going to be a guaranteed pre-order. My son likes Transformers and loves white tigers. Gonna have to have this one.
I don\'t like that some parts of tigatron look kinda yellowed/yellowing well I hope our fellow autobro Fenrys/Tigatron got everything he wanted out of this figure
I am thoroughly happy with him. The placement of the yellowing could be better, but it could also look better in hand. @PrimeVsPrime any comments on that? All in all, it's better than the original, scales appropriately and isn't anywhere near as expensive as the MP. Can't wait till I can get my hands on him!
It's actually accurate to real-life white tigers, though. They're supposed to be orange like regular tigers, it's just that a genetic mutation results in mostly unpigmented fur. Similar to how "black panthers" are actually either leopards or jaguars with extremely dark pigmentation for their fur.
The pee stain effect will be the new "WFC battle damage" debate......... cept you can't alcohol away the pee stain. And I don't like it myself...... Even if it's "accurate in nature" they did a bad job on it. Great figure otherwise! I'm buying it!
Wow. Tigatron looks great. Pre-ordered for sure when he goes up. Nice that he comes with his gut gun and tail whip.
Sculpt looks excellent; they nailed the proportions and the bot head. And look at how clean that beast mode is! Fantastic! Now is it too much to ask for a repaint that doesn't add pre-emptive yellowing to the white parts? He'd look so much better without those yellow stains! Why must you always drop the ball at the 90-yard line, Hasbro??
And I thought he was gonna be an easy skip. I just love the remolding they did, and the best part is the yellowing. I find charm in yellowing, don\'t know why. Like that he comes with a gut gun. I never knew how much better Cheetor could\'ve looked with the feet Tigatron has.
New mold, not remolding. It's a Classics Starscream/ER Starscream scenario going on with Kingdom Cheetor and Tigatron
I like this much better than Cheetor. I skipped on the latter because I did not like the proportions, but this finds the right balance of a broad chested robot mode with a modest feline mode.
I stand corrected, but it doesn't change the fact that this is what they wanted to do. Collectors are just upset because they wanted show accuracy but that's not what was given.
