Just noticed this when I was organizing my sticker cards. One says Ark and one says Autobot Ark. Otherwise identical.
If they are from different waves, then the underlying cards should be different. One should be "Autobots awaken in 1984" and the other should be "Becomes dark ark" Different waves having slightly different cards would make it a lot easier to collect, since we'd know which card was which wave, without having to peel it. I wonder if any of the other cards have differences from Wave 1 to Wave 2 (or 3 or 4).
The "Autobot Ark" is from wave 1 with the card "Autobots awaken in 1984". The "Ark" is from wave 2 with the card "Becomes Dark Ark" Edit: this info is only good until we see the wave 3 or 4 third version of the Ark, which will be a new card, but unknown what the sticker text will say. Presumably it will be either "Autobot Ark" or just "Ark"
I saw a video on YouTube where the person had the complete set of wave 1 & 2 cards where he pointed out the "Ark" name difference. From that I bought an "Ark" card off ebay, which was indeed the "dark" card.... And then i got another one with Ractonite which is also "dark". Also bought the "Autobot" version from ebay and it was in fact the "1984" version. So there's 4 data points for you...
No, only a select few characters. You can find all of the ones we know about here: Source:Golden Disk destinies - Transformers Wiki The destinies are broken up by wave. All wave 1 Ark destinies are the 1984 version and all wave 2 Ark destinies are the dark Ark version.
This variation must have been shown in wave 3 when Hasbro Pulse revealed Ark as Titan Class, so they only spoiled what they were going to reveal. Of course, not counting the leaks that came out before, and without half the fans deducing that the giant that appears in the Kingdom poster was Ark transformed.
