Anyway...

Some of these sellers are based in Taiwan, and get these legitimately but early. By the time they pay for shipping (a lot of them pay for the basics) and their eBay fees, they're still making a profit, just not as large as it could be. We forget that their currency is peanuts to the US dollar. So it costs them a lot more to obtain these than they do us. It's a little different when it's your neighbor Bob, across the street running to every store in your area to snap 'em all up and hock 'em on eBay.

I'm by no means saying to go and buy from these guys, I'm just saying there's more to the pricing than what's initially seen at first glance.

Its appears that the treads can split to be swords too.

 

Nice. This might be the best Weaponizer along with Fasttrack.

... Still, sadly just like with Fasttrack, is not like I care that much about the character per se. I hope he's eventually repainted into a more interesting character (By the way, where is that Roller repaint from Fasttrack anyway?)

WHOA NELLY THAT IS GOOD!    

If we start seeing pics of people combining multiple Slammers into a gestalt, that will make me want more than just one Slammer. Doubly so if we see a weaponizer gestalt from Slammer and the other Autobot weaponizers. (drooling emoji) (And maybe some of the fossilizers? I don't know. I feel like the sky's the limit with these guys...)

 

I know what you mean, but Slammer feels about a headswap and a few paint apps away from Ironfist, and the idea of the Wreckers Weapons Expert becomming a Weaponizer - with a chainsword no less! - feels like a custom I'm going to have to make.

 

There is definite head swap / color swap potential for him. Every one of these parts / weapon-formers from the WFC trilogy (only exception currently of Wingfinger) has had a repaint.

I'm loving Slammer, but why isn't anyone doing the power up modes? At bare minimum we have back of box images of one backpack mode, and the instructions should have 1 or 2 more modes...

There wont be. A few US sites have him up but it was a matter of find in stores no long term preorder option. Not sure why they went for that

 

That head joint makes him way more expressive than I expected him to be got-dam.
