BTW have you thought of making a shattered glass Megatron head for generations selects Galvatron?

To be honest, I don't really pay much attention to SG. I'm not sure whether anything already exists for the Selects Galvatron, but there seems to be kits for the Megatron remould.
If I manage to make back my development and production expenses (Currently over AUD$350), I'd be tempted to try the IDW Barbarian head, though.

Selects or Kingdom? It looks like the Selects is out now in specialty stores and there's probably still a chance in Big W and Toyworlds for the purple one.

So have you started making these heads yet or still mulling it over?

Thanks for your patience guys. Releasing stuff widespread involves a lot of testing. Usually at least one test print every time a tweak is made. Even making some more subtle closed lips requires testing as it risks filling with paint afterwards. This doesn't guarantee it will be without problems on other printers or with other resins, but I'd like to think it minimises potential issues.

The good news is my copy of Selects Galvatron has arrived, so I'm now at the colour test stage. Photos generally don't indicate just how beige the greys really are. I've mixed a batch by eye under a florescent bulb, so hopefully it looks good in sunlight. Unfortunately I couldn't work out a formula from a 2ml test cup, like I did with the purple, as the yellow pigment was particularly strong. The prints are going currently, so I'll find out in the next few hours.

I haven't posted any photos for a while, but here's a couple of development shots on Selects.

Note: The heads are just default grey resin and the alternate Galvatron II face is unpainted (it will be a dark warm grey gloss), though I did highlight the teeth. The Galvatron I default face has a matte paint.

They look phenomenal as usual. And I agree about the warmth of the grey. I only saw a Selects Galvatron in person for the first time about a week ago and photos really don't capture that color well.

OK, so colour matching the resin to Selects Galvatron was a lot harder than I anticipated. The curing process significantly whitened the colour mix, even with something that looked like an expresso coffee when wet ended up a bit too light. I tried to compensate for two days but gave up as there was too much wastage for my liking. The colour wasn't far off so I finished with some paint.

Overall, after so many test prints in cold grey. I can't help but prefer it over the warm grey Hasbro used in their plastics. The task was to match it and I have gotten close enough as far as I am concerned. That said, I do look forward to seeing what other, more adventurous customisers can do, though. It's the closest we've got to a comic colour scheme release, but there's still a way to go.

Below is an image of all the variants, (A very angry Brady Bunch). Lighting wasn't perfect, but it's enough for the gist, I must admit, I'm getting a bit tired of painting teeth. My eyes aren't what they used to be and even with reading glasses I struggle.

This week I have been testing the viability of hands, as per the request. If I decide they're just too fragile at this size I won't bother with them, but I figured it was worth a shot.

I started wearing glasses just a year ago as well. My vision seems to be ok except when im working on really small pieces (like Reprolabel stickers for example). I feel you man. I'm really excite about these. I can't wait to make a video out of this. I'll go nuts with all the poses.

    Looks awesome <3

I have the same problem. This year I noticed, suddenly using glasses or contacts my near sight is blurry. Have to use the naked eye for that. Weird.

These are amazing. Currently have my eye on middle row rightmost and bottom row leftmost (and middle; is he smirking?) as they're the best-looking ones. Kind of want one in each color. And this is making me want to repaint a Galvatron in more showlike colors. And order a head for THAT.

    Oh dear.
