Painted the sides of his torso red in an attempt to make him look less stocky. Think it turned out pretty well. Also didn’t tab in his waist to his torso to also help with his proportions.

It’s a custom shade. A mix of bright red and the tiniest bit of black. Not a perfect color match but it does it’s job imo.

How are the scorpion legs and stinger attached? Rather than try to color match, I may just respray All the red parts in another shade to make it match.

I am shocked how much of a difference that splash of red on his sides makes.

That works so well I had to grab my Scorponok and paint his sides too. Such a simple but effective change that completely fixes the weird chunk proportions.

It's amazing how little tweaks like this do so much to improve the silhouette. I recently added some metallic orange and yellow to Airazor's waist and it really brought out her profile from the sea of brown plastic. I'll now be doing this tweak to Scorponok too. Great work!
