I was thinking the same, but the Siege arms have like an off white, pearl look to them, might not look right swapped onto the ER Alert. edit: Actually, looking at my Siege Alert now, it'll be no difference than it already is I suppose. Siege is white, with the off white arms already.
For me, the stretch is that the original isn't Cybertronian enough. It works perfectly fine as an earth mode already - a little bit concept car but works as a sports car. Good thing that the mold is solid and perfect for customizing into new characters otherwise I'd pass altogether.
100% this about the tires/wheels. I mean, although it wouldve cost money to do so, more earthy wheels would've been a homerun. Just like with the ER Van brothers, adding 3rd wheels to them just elevates it to a whole new level. I wonder if any 3rd party peeps would offer wheels for the Lamborghini molds. They is certainly enough mold usage to warrant it.
The wheels might not look specifically lambo wheels but there really isn't anything non earthy about them
Absolutely. They need to plan another tree to give themselves more option with nylon colors in the future.
funny thing is 2 years ago people complained the wheels looked too earth like…same with the alt mode now people complain the earth mode looks Cybertronian…
And meanwhile here I am sticking with Generations 1.0 Red Alert, for no other reason than because my Lost Light shelf is crammed as hell, so his above average height means you can see him behind the bots in front. (He's over there next to Getaway on the far right, if my terrible photo is too hard for you to make out.)
You would, but the mass belly aching over the recent price increases shows that at least the very vocal minority (and probably more than just them) wouldn't be ok with it
Is it just me or does the kingdom lambo seem a bit taller? did the new tooling to the legs give it a bit more height?
I'm okay with the extra cost but unfortunately, people like us are the minority of the target consumer by Hasbro.
I don't think it does? It looks like the knees attach to the same point on the shins, with only the bits of jutting-out car rear sticking up higher to each side. I think what's going on with the photo is that Siege Sideswipe is a fraction of an inch further into the background, and the camera's using a lens focal length that is distorting things.
I think most people are fine with the idea of paying more to get more...at least until the time comes later when they're told that they have to pay it.
I think you’re right. Pretty sure height difference is bc of perspective or distortion. This is kingdom sideswipe next to his siege counterpart and they’re about the same height.
