Yeah, some odd color distribution choices here. I am not fond of the super white either, so I almost regret selling off my Siege one now. Well not yet, because it does seem that the red could be matching nicely with Inferno’s.
I like this one better than the Siege one a bit. I love that car mode. But very nice, I missed out on Siege Red Alert and now he\'s expensive, so I\'ll wait for this to come out
I agree that I'm not 100% sold on some of the color choices in robot mode but I really like the extra black paint in vehicle mode compared to earth mode Sideswipe. I wish Sideswipe had gotten a little more black as well or been all red so that one spot didn't stand out so much.
I knew the legs were different, but I didn't realize it gave this version of the mold such a noticeable height difference.
I think Siege Red Alert looks better than Kingdom Red Alert. The paint app look of Kingdom Red alert looks better than Kingdom Sideswipe.
Im really being to hate that black piece in front of the lambo doors on every version of this mold. Was there ever rrally a reason why it wasnt cast in the same color as the rest pf the car body ? Even on the retool. they couldnt get this fixed for Earth mode ?
Maybe I'm just not that nitpicky, but they honestly don't look all that different to me. I didn't think the original Siege Red Alert was a big seller. I picked up one up on clearance. If they were going to tinker with the mold, they should have filled in the hollow bits.
it’s part of the mold sheet that was assigned with other blacks parts. It’s just how it was assigned probably due to the size of the sheets. Thats honesty the reason and it’s not painted due to paint rubbing with transformation no doubt. It’s what it is.
It's still a shame that, much like Kingdom Sideswipe, they didn't switch out the tires and give the figure the Diablo tires. The vehicle mode would look even better with them. While also a very petty nitpick, I don't like how they didn't paint in the taillights. I can excuse Sideswipe, because his primary color is red anyway, but come on Hasbro. The figure still looks great, though. I might have to double dip and get this when it goes up for per-order.
The colors are not "Sunbow Accurate" but I'm liking it regardless. It has a nice visual appearance. Bring it!
Red Alert looks good! Kinda want a Cybertronian fire truck Inferno now to pair with Siege Red Alert and Smokescreen!
maybe white will be easier to color match (than red) to paint those unsightly black boxes Imagine if there were black boxes on Siege/Earthrise Optimus Prime. we’d be talking about that!
