It is the the same figure, repackaged in the new line. Similar to how Rung and the Battle Squad were in Siege but were also released in Earthrise.

They arent accurate to indvidual figures just to the price point average. I already answered your initial question though. Judging from the photo, Megatron is between 7.25 and 7.5 inches. A full head taller than OP.

    Hahahahahha no.

The reductions in packing material are to offset the rising costs of producing the figure itself. But even if what you were saying is true LAWL at the idea that little tray is worth $2 off.

to be fair, LAWL at the idea that figures are 2/3-1/2 the mass of what they were 10 years ago and yet somehow doubled in price.

The package losing plastic isn’t to go into the figure, it’s to make environmentalists happy. Otherwise I’m reality, no ones putting more money into figures.

Honestly the CHRRRRRRRRRRKGHGHHKGHCHNHNHKSSSHK is one of the best parts. It makes it feel like a battle against the package, a true experience in itself.

Seriously. The cost of the plastic insert would be negligible. Like fractions of a cent.

This change isn't even totally cost driven. It's part of their overall effort to reduce plastic in packaging.

So an environmental focused change as a way to reduce the amount of littering of the thin, flexible plastic kind.

Yes, at some point in thr last year or two that they would be working to reduce or eliminate plastic in their packaging.

I wouldn't be surprised if they also move to bioplastics for the plastic windows.

Right. As I also think plastics are harder to recycle than cardboard.

I mean, Cardboard is made with the same stuff as paper? it's pretty easy to recycle.

Yeah the cardboard the boxes are made of are way easier to break down than plastics. It is essentially dense thick paper with a glossy laminated side. That is the main thing that makes it harder to be naturally broken down. Still exponentially more biodegradable than most plastics*.

*I think there might actually be some plastics being developed for that but Im not sure.

The reduction of plastic overall just makes recycling easier. It reduces the number of steps needed.

You could reduce the steps even more if you take the time to separate the plastic windows from the rest of the box before you recycle it, too.

Place Cyberverse BAF Bumblebee next to Energon Cliffjumper, and despair at the fact that both have the same MSRP.
