Oddly enough, I think he wears the mold better than Grapple. Probably because of that gorgeous headsculpt.

Looks really great, but it's really frustrating to hear that Hasbro left the dodgy peg design in play here. I'll still get him, but it's surprising given Hasbro's commitment to toy safety that they'd let a figure with a defect that breaks off a piece go to market.

 

Artfire and Hauler yes. Hot Spot and Pyro from an Inferno mold all over again....please no. We already got an awesome combining Hot Spot that isnt a cheesy Botcon style repaint. And honestly, that mold would be a lot better for a Pyro retool than any Inferno mold. Pyro doesnt have a cab chest like inferno. (Same with Hotspot. And while the Combiner Wars Hotspot isnt a G1 alt mode, it works perfect for Pyro) Also on a side note, why does Inferno have grey instead of white parts ?

 

Looks great, it's actually a little weird how much I like this mold considering I know I enjoyed the WAY bigger universe version at the time.

Now I look at it and I'm torn between "they don't make 'em like that anymore!" and "wow, I really would've taken anything back then."

 

I thought you were going for a roses are red rhyme with this.

Grapple was waayyyy better than I thought he’d be. Kind of a shame he shelfwarmed.

 

Yeah, I waited on Grapple for a pricedrop that I knew was coming and was eventually rewarded, but I don't think I will wait on Inferno. It helps that I already locked him in at $24.99 on Amazon.

Inferno here looks phenomenal. He doesn’t have that translucent head issue Grapple had that bugged me a bit. Just gorgeous. Whoever said Artfire, yeah...can’t wait.

 

He looks really good, although I do wish that they had used white plastic instead of the grey. Definitely liking the headsculpt though!

Grey ladder, hoses and ears?

 

From what I've seen, just around the peg at your discretion until it fits in the hole.

However, I just got Grapple a couple days ago, and upon closer inspection, the pegs are hollow and thin, and plastic in the hole is paper thin/translucent (if you were thinking about making the hole bigger, which doesn't look like a good idea).

So I'm kind of at a loss. I just put a dab of shock oil on mine and barely put the pegs into the hole when in alt mode and called it a day.

 

Seeing that alt mode makes me really want a CHUG scale RID 2001 Optimus Prime.

 

works for neca. They don’t give a shit if the figure breaks but honestly we don’t know that this has that flaw. The pegs are there yes but who’s to say the pegs were made a little thinner? They have done that in the past

 

Im guessing doesnt have the water effects part that seemed to be in the leaked box shots when first announced? Not a deal breaker by any means just a shame if not included
