Still psyched for Orange Grumpytruck.
Definitely like this Inferno headsculpt more than I liked the Grapple one.
Y'know... Kingdom Huffer looks really great in bot mode... but I'm a tiny bit disappointed that they didn't bother trying to make him look like a smaller type of truck. They just made him look like a big truck that happens to be very small. Kind of a missed opportunity.
Huffer is based on a terminal tractor, which is about the right size when compared to Primes trailer
I'm not convinced that's necessarily true. I'm not taking issue with the size, but rather the implied scale based on the alt-mode detailing and overall design.
Pretty sure G1 Huffer was based on the quintessential 2-axle Japanese mini-truck, if anything from the real world.
Huffer (G1) - Transformers Wiki
The terminal tractor theory seems a little bit unlikely, since yard spotters are almost universally defined by their asymmetrical single-seat design. I can't find a single example of one that matches Huffer's design (though the silhouette often does).
The Volvo F88 is a more likely candidate, but he still resembles late 1970s mini-trucks more than anything else (though with the outsize wheels that all the minibots had, obviously).
Though this little darling sure does come pretty close, doesn't he?
I'd love to see someone find a real-world model for Gears one of these days.
That is a dang good match for huffer
Of all the wave 2 characters I need to see a video review of, Huffer can't come soon enough.
with that huffer mold i bet we get a bot molded in blue plastic with a slight remold of Pipes down the road
Wave 4 I believe
Why is there a close-up of Arcee\'s hand and head?
I preordered everything in the Kingdom line. I played with Cheetor and Black Arachinia and am no fan of that cheap brittle plastic. If this is a feature of the whole line I’m out.
It isn't. Primal, Cyclonus, Warpath, and the Cores are all excellent and solid.
None of mine feel brittle, pretty firm actually . Surprised me since the claw hand things on Blackarachnia looked scary thin.
Mine feel brittle, but I think that's because the joints feel tighter?
Vertebreak's legs feel scary thin when I try to bend them at the knees, and while I really like BA's spider mode her eight legs feel like they'd snap if I dropped her.
As is Megatron. But the Deluxes (namely BA/Paleo) feel off. Not bad. Off.
I've seen a few people mention it about SS86 Hot Rod, too. The tolerances feel off so all the joints feel REALLY tight. So when you're dealing with narrow limbs and smaller panels like the BW guys have it makes the plastic feel like it's gonna break because you're putting so much force on it.
Not sure if these stock images are new
Not sure if those are sort of Gorilla hands on Ractonite or not. Still getting at least two! Also, is Airrazor Darker now? Seems almost like the eventual repaint she got as a toy that was darker than the previous colors.
Ractonite oddly has no hands. He's got those 5mm ports on the sides of his forearms, but his arms terminate in a fold out 5mm peg instead.
Looks like they're supposed to be interpreted as gun hands on his boxart.
I hope Arcee eventually gets a nicer face paint job like Elita and Paradron Medic did. Maybe she'll get a SS redeco.
