I'm kind of wondering why his codpiece is articulated. It isn’t in the way of leg articulation and doesn't need to move for transformation.

    2 possibilities
1, the hip plastic is too hard, and rubbing up against the grey, softer canon plastic while in canon mode would lead to wearing down the grey quickly, so they slapped a softer plastic crotch shield onto it so they wouldn't warp each other
2, it's needed for a scrapped 3rd mode, as evidenced by the fact that if you rotate the waist and then lower his backpack, it aligns with the crotch perfectly, which isn't the case in canon mode.
Either they wanted a jet mode, or a gun mode.
The 5mm ports on the legs support stand, which are completely useless, suggest to me he was originally planned to have a jet mode a la energon megatron, but got phased out.
Or it's pretool elements, so 3 options i guess

Every once in a while there is a toy where you can recognize it as an objectively well done Transformer toy which achieves its apparent design goals properly, yet it seems to lack a certain something, be it excitement, 'soul' or whatever. Kingdom Galvatron is one of those toys for me. I can see it's a good toy and a good Galvatron, but I find the Titans Return toy carries more 'pizazz', at least a version with the head/mask parts replaced, that is.

I respect your opinion but honestly, I couldn’t feel more differently. TR Galvatron is such a clunky and disproportionate figure in hand. There are so many baffling design cues that Hasbro took with it; even with a proper upgrade head, nothing about it really embodies the “essence” of the character as much as the Kingdom release does, IMO.

I get what he means, I had a bit of the same feeling before spending all day messing with Kingdom Galvy. Galvy's transformation is unintuitive and overly complex, while TR's is, if anything, a little too simple. But TR handles the legs so much better, and there's no real reason why Kingdom couldn't have done the same, other than the strange desire to hide the stand inside his legs instead of leaving it on his back like it always is. TR galvy has many flaws, but the ability to get him to canon mode and back in only a few seconds is one of his charm points.

I don’t care about how easy it is to transform a figure if it looks and functions poorly in both modes.

Has anyone received from Pulse yet and know if they have the fixed/incorrect shoulders? I'm debating on canceling my preorder and just waiting to find in store.

Does he have a stand port, for a Tamashii Stage Act?

    Please and thank you.

So, which port are you putting his particle cannon on? I'm using the port on his forearm.

I'm using the upper arm. This allows for better posing without the cannon getting in the way.

My apologies I thought you were being sarcastic.

I'm going with the right arm for Galvatron.

I have this pose in mind:

Hence why I asked if a Tamashii Stage Act (in this instance 4) can be plugged in for a flight pose.

Or if I'll have to use a C clip?

No worries, it's all good. Internet, lack of tone, misunderstandings.

That's a cool pose, too. I like that art piece. I always thought that scene was a bit odd, it looked cool... but Galvatron and Megatron before him never needed his cannon to propel him through space.

As for the larger topic, awesome of Hasbro to even give us the option of which port to attach the particle cannon since the show and movie weren't always consistent about it... though usually, it was the forearm. I think the cannon on the forearm gives him more control over where he's aiming it.

Last I checked, I don’t believe he has a proper 3mm port for figure stands. It’s possible to use a c-clip to have him posed on a figure stand, though it did take a bit of balancing to make it work right…
