Nice work. This may be what I do with my Galvatron once I find one, so thanks for the tip.:)

You even got the paint off the cannon? That’s translucent plastic, which rubbing alcohol usually eats apart. Nice!

Looks nice. I’m waiting for the lava pit version.

I hope that your cannon doesn't fall apart later. Sometimes when clear plastic gets destabilized, you don't see it right away and takes time for it to start crumbling.

A safer yet more labor intensive option on clear plastics is to use Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and a lot of elbow grease.

ya i was afraid of the toy breaking tbh, had a similar problem with Kingdom Dinobot and gundam markers. The thing just crumbled

*dont use gundam markers on the new TFs. The plastic just breaks.

99%alcohol seems fine though. Had to be persistent cuz the paint on the cannon was pretty thick

    lol with more schmutz?

I feel Hasbro will relaunch Galvatron in SS86 with toon accurate colors

I use 71% for clear plastic and 91% for all else. You did a fantastic job on this, particularly the cannon.

this is what we should have gotten. No idea why the picked and choose which figures they added to. You got the season 3 cast looking all good and then you got galvatron and springer like they just wrestled on junkion. looks so good. I might give this a go. i dont know about the canon though. i have not had good times with clear plastic and alcohol.

And ..... The way Hasbro should have released him.... CLEAN. If you like the "battle damage/wear" paint, that's good for you. However, I am not a fan. Thanks for sharing.

Finally cleaned my "play with/display" figure. Super easy and only took about 20 minutes. I used 91% isopropyl alcohol with Q-Tips for the body and a magic eraser for the cannon. As soon as I removed the schmutz I used warm soapy water and a clean cloth to clean. No finish dulling or problems and boy does Galvatron look awesome!!! Granted both of my figures from BBTS were misassembled. While it would be cool to have a smooth shoulder I still think the low shoulders are more movie-accurate and powerful looking. That said a "fixed shoulder" version with a Selects Marvel Comics/toy repaint would be awesome since Galvatrons proportions were more humanoid.

Looks good! I like the recreation of the reformating scene. Are you planning on doing the shoulder mod?
Maybe SS86 and maybe not, but I'm sure we'll be getting several repaint and retools from this. I always liked the toon color better than the extreme purple they tend to use.

Very cool. I think the damage is cool, but at the same time, your custom looks awesome.
