My mental image of Galvatron was a different shade of purple, but I just rewatched Dweller in the Depth (which was my favorite season 3 episode as a kid) and he was actually very close in color to this figure there. Sooooo hype!

 

See now what I meant about lost perspective?

1)This page grew like 40+ pages overnight. Some of us didnt read all of it.

2)I didnt argue with anyone. He just butted in telling us that we were bitching.

3)He could have told us "Hey I happen to own the figure and the spike is not missing". In a nice civil way.

4) In my discussion with the other guy, I referenced my belief of the missing spike as one of my turn downs. IDK why someone should bitch about it.

5) No offense meant to either of you, but before you call something/someone dumb, make sure you took stock of the situation and understood correctly first.

6) He is right though (for the wrong reasons, but still): Typical TFW2005, thread.

After several pages of people questioning it and the black and white photos blatantly showing its there I can see his frustrations. Does make me wonder what people are looking at sometimes

But when its blatantly obvious and been addressed before its understanable if you ask me.

His frustrations meaning why ask questions about something thats obvious and the usual trashing of something we have only seen a leak of, when he himself knows its a great figure having actually got the thing, which in my book means hes more than entitled to come in and quash theories cause he has actual proof.

 

Looks great, minus the head & crown which look a bit too bland and a bit small (I’m sure coloring in the chin with a marker will help a bit). Hilarious that he comes with two of his ships as ‘guns’.

I really hope (but doubt) the toy color exclusive will have the IDW ‘barbarian’ crown. But either way I think I will be double dipping. Even that photoshopped attempt looks real good.

Seeing those photos together I see that the shade of purple is quite different in the leak pictures. It may just be lighting. Of course the leaked pictures are presumably of an early version smuggled from the factory so may not be final colours. The second looks like a promo and they sometimes change.

Both colours are acceptable. I associate Galvatron's colour more with the leaked version, but the vibrant purple of the other is growing on me.

 

Right. So anyone has the right to go all in into someone else, been rude and borderline flaming because they missed info (which was not the point of the original post to begin with)...Ok.

I thought this was likely, if not readily apparent, when the images first appeared. It almost feels like this is the first Transformer some posters have ever seen.
