After some major disappoints in the Netflix line, this is much better.

Now that's a beefy looking Gavatron! It's a bit of a shame he has visibly hollow forearms when Kingdom Cyclonus did such a good job at having flipout hands, hiding the hollowness AND having wrist swivels, but hopefully Galvatron will at least have the latter as well. That and I hope the threads on his triceps will be good at getting out of the way of posing his arms, otherwise I'm very happy with what I'm seeing. Oh, and maybe a blast effect or two would've made a nice addition to the toy's accessories. Hopefully handling Galvy will feel as good as my recently acquired Kingdom Primal, the plastic density and joint tolerance on that guy is to die for. Now if only I could get my hands on Cyke and SS86 Scourge at last...

For me at least, I don't see Rodimus being worth $80. I see him as $60 with enough extraneous accessories and fancy hands to push him up to $80, which I find annoying. And this guy, while I really like him, his chest is a bit broad, and the chest battle damage is still ugly. Nowhere near as intrusive as the silver splatters from Siege, but still a bit of a blemish.

Sure, but you can use flip-out panels to hide those hand-holes. The arms look cheap without some kind of cover.

THOSE FOREARM GAPS, battle damage, and obviously mistransformed shoulders aside, that Galvatron looks superb! I'm sure there will be a host of gap fillers and whatnot available by next week, and I can live with the battle damage. I'll definitely be getting him the instant he's up for preorder.

Stop mistaking this forum for real life. Collectors "look past it."

Actually no. There are still several things that could have been improved upon.

Pisses me off that they would randomly go back to that crap “weathering” paint for Galvatron—a figure we have had yet to get a definitive version of—and it would’ve been so much better to have a clean chest. Simple, Hasbro, simple!

Especially if they’re on the run from the law and need to crash on someone’s couch for a few days.

There's about 8 SIEGE Megatron repaints. So I'm willing to bet that we'll see about 4 versions of this Galvatron, a rumored Selects version already pending. So I'll play the waiting game. It's not bad but I'm not all that sure of his scale. Hope it's not stocky like SIEGE UM or Double Dealer.

Yeah, well the thing is HasTak knows most of us are going to buy him regardless and them about 6 months later release a version w/o the bird poop which they know a lot of collectors will buy again.

This is the stuff I call Hasbro out on and people act like I cursed Bumblebee and Elita 1's first born (Optimus thinks it's his).

Like I said though, so far it's not bad but I'm holding out before I run out and grab/preorder him, since I'm certain there will be more than just a 2nd repaints of him.

The difference is that Siege was stylised G1, never intended to be exact G1 designs. Plus its Megatron, we're definitely gonna get another one soon. This is galvatron, the third galvatron in over a decade. The arms probably push in more, but in this pic he looks pretty wide.
