That's my biggest problem with the Netflix line. That line showed us that HasTak was more than capable of giving us figures that had awesome paint applications and battle damage that actually looked real instead of just being a weird silver schmutz smeared in random spots. If I had known about the Netflix Megatron figure that came out in wave 1 of said line, I never would've bought the mainline Megatron figure.

I get that they're in the business of selling toys. But there's a difference between selling toys, and, at the risk of sounding hyperbolic and overdramatic, borderline ripping off your customers.

Do you know what a curve is? Because it's definitely not a straight line like it is here.

    Lets not get dramatic
It does curve , but subtle , and not spray out much like animation model

    I mean...

It's so hardly a difference it doesn't matter.

It would be like complaining that a figure's jaw-line wasn't 100% the same as the 2d animation.

Not only does it not curve outward, but because it's straight it also doesn't curved around the head as well. Distinct design cues of Galvatron that isn't here
Not only does it not curve outward from a forward profile, but because it's straight it also doesn't curved around the side of the head as well. Distinct design cues of Galvatron that isn't here. Details in a headsculpt are very important. Angled lines are not curves.

    Sucks for your eyes then.

perhaps the head is turned slightly? it could be properly curved, but at an angle it looks straight.

I like how he's correcting someone who actually has one in hand.

Yeah, I get what you mean...I was so torn between the two that I decided not to get either one...I sort of regretted it because prices for both are quite high in my country...

Sadly I agree with you...I agree with sacrificing the alternate mode for mode bot...that’s how I feel about Rodimus too...I really can’t express how excited I feel about these two! Finally after all these years, we’re getting a proper Rodimus and Galvatron.

Tbh I always felt that if Hasbro have issues with promoting Megatron as a gun...they should just used Galvatron. His aesthetics are more regal and intimidating...IMO.

Yeah, I would agree with that. If sacrifices have to be made, better they be to the cannon mode than the bot. That’s how most people are probably going to display it.

If you look closely, you can see the front mantlet (the big grey bit around the cannon in howitzer mode) is stored inside the robot torso.

DX9 managed to do it, so I don’t see how it’s impossible 5 years later...

At "voyager" height which would make parts extremely tiny and who knows what price class it would need to engineer that. Yall got mad at all of this being commander class, imagine how yall would feel about a 6 inch figure all by himself with no accessories and a small ass vehicle mode, not to mention a possible hellish transformation at that scale and potentially fragile parts

Unfortunately, many are not willing to even read 2 posts back, so the front page won't help.

I simply said it’s not impossible, not that it can be done at a voyager price point mr. y’all. Now at the current $80 price tag, if you ditch the stupid scale chart, it’s quite easy to pull off.

I did say "voyager" height and was talking if that were to hypothetically be commander budget.

Oh well yeah at that point a voyager sized figure forced to be an over engineered mess and $80 would be terrible.

Still wonder how cool of a rodimus we could have gotten at the commander class price point if they ditched scale and made it all in 1. Certainly have the budget to make a badass figure.
