Oh my god this guy cannot be more Galvatrony. Remove the battle damage and that's it! Absolutely stunning

 

He’s the best toy so far I will admit but he’s just not the menacing Galvatron I expected considering he’s leader class.

 

I think that is part of the issue. The very first leak I remember stated that Kingdom Galvatron wasn’t perfect and had some problems but was a substantial improvement over the TR version. I believe it was said that it was about as better over TR as TR was over the old Classics/Universe Galvatron. But then it seems the expectations and hyperbole picked up to the point where folks were espousing him to be in line with a MP or $150 3rd party figure.

 

I agree. Time to let him rant on ignore, people. I know it's easier to fight than run away, but this is one instance where you must run the other way. "fighting" with him earns you nothing but an ulcer and anger and it does you no good. He wins, you suffer, much like any other online troll. Don't give in. He'll destroy himself, here.

Look, as far as a Generations CHUG take I don't think it will be better than this. If your bar is so high, maybe you need to stick to MP or 3P. But for $50 USD I see good value here.

 

Definitely just your opinion. I had Mania King and I think he sucks. Swapped him for the TR version in fact, and would again in a heartbeat. I do think this new Galvatron will obliterate them both in terms of aesthetics, articulation, and engineering. That's just my opinion.

 

Goes to show how subjective this hobby is because I loved Mania King, gorilla arms and all   Hopefully the new Galvatron will be good in hand, though if I'm being honest I'm still not feeling it based on all the photos we've seen so far.

 

Yes, exactly like G1 Galvatron has never been. Great.

Mania King's head and arms suck. It's forgettable at this point as a candidate for its intended character, like the Fansproject Springer at this point.

I find the funniest part of this ridiculous "TR Galvatron is better" camp is they always fall back on "well he's not so bad once you replace the head", as if changing one part of a toy without changing one part of another toy just makes it inherently better than the other one.

TR Galvatron is not better than Kingdom Galvatron, stop being poor about it.

Well G1 Galvatron wasn't really that hulking at all, but he wasn't anorexic like the 3rd party one either.


If anything IDW's G1 Galvatron's Cybertronian and Earth versions where more hulking than him.

 

Again, this is just your opinion as well.

 

3rd Party - Unique Toys Mania King

 

When we first heard of this guy coming out, I looked at my Titans Return Galvatron and told myself, "nah, my Galvs is just fine!" When we got pics, I started becoming unsure. But he looked fine on my shelf. And then I picked him up and tried playing with him. And then I remembered.

Titans Return Galvatron is sh!t.

Panels and parts popping off, weird arms, plain paint work, terrible head and that joke of a helmet. The transformation is boring and results in a bot doing yoga. The cannon is massive and obstructs the entire arm. The thighs are laughably tiny from every angle. The legs are so big and unwieldy. The ankle tilt is unimpressive. People say that he can be fixed with upgrades. But those upgrades don't do anything for me. It just shows his flaws even more when people spend twice his price on bad looking 3-D printed "upgrades" for him. I drove around and went in the back of stores for TR. I thought he was going to be amazing. And I'm still disappointed to this day by him.

This guy is everything I wanted out of that figure. This is a figure I would drive around and hunt for. He looks solid, chunky, and like hes not going to come apart in my hands. He looks like he's going to be fun and somewhat challenging to transform, with a solid and interesting cannon mode.

I can't wait to pick him up, put him with my TR Scourge, and feel like I own a proper Galvatron.

Yes. Yours were screen shots with numbers over the corners, these are the originals in higher resolution so slightly better quality.

 

He doesn't "suck" if I'm being fair. I do definitely prefer TR to MK though. Those curling arms on the King really drove me up the wall. I'm also not a fan of his transformation. I suppose if you like a sleeker more svelte Galvatron, he is the best option for that.
