You keep saying that but Galvatron looks the same, shit camera or not. The difference is the angles in which he's being posed.

But he clearly doesnt looking at the photo you used to begin with its so out of whack its unreal.

I'm sure the truth of the matter is somewhere in-between. The better photos do make him look better in a neutral pose than some of the earlier, super-distorted ones. But that doesn't completely erase aspects like the mile-wide shoulders, that are less apparent when the toy is dynamically posed.

 

Fair enough.

 

They are the same. One just has Galvatron turning his head to cough, his forearms twisted slightly more inward and legs twisted slightly more outwards, which somehow makes him look better.

They're not the same, the lower pic has the arms as two different sizes, the perspective is skewed. the arm with the cannon looks much thicker than it should

I'll put it this way, one arm looks like popeye and the other like olive  

 

A big reason why these proportional distortions affect Galvatron so drastically is that we're not used to seeing Transformers with such trunk-like limbs. On a 'bot like Optimus Prime, who has huge shins and significantly more slender thighs, those distortions aren't nearly as apparent. Here though, both Galvatron's arms and legs are just these massive pillars, without a huge amount of differentiation between bicep/forearm and thigh/boot, so taper-off from the high-angled photography hits him really hard.

In the top pic versus the bottom pic, the legs look practically 50% bigger, which makes him look really sturdy and powerful. On the bottom pic, the legs taper off hard and he looks like a cartoon, stump-legged strongman instead.

We previously saw similar with a lot of the showroom photography of MP Arcee and how insanely top-heavy she looked at first, versus how much more curvy and proportionately balanced she looked once we started getting proper in-hand pics.

 

Are you saying the photo has been photoshopped? Otherwise, it's pretty clear from his positioning (look at the feet) that his right arm is closer to the camera than the left. Regardless of anything else, one will definitely look bigger than the other due to that.

 

I’m not sure MP arcee looked any less top heavy given she had the entire car on her back no matter what. That figure was pretty easy to judge whether it was good or not for someone.

This Galvatron however, is a confusing mess with these photos. Goes from great looking, to bad, to ok, to good again, to horrible. It’s a weird one...

 

No dude, I said the photo on the left was misleading because it's taken from an angle that makes his shoulders look less derpy. The derpy shoulders are very clear in these photos lol

 

He looks much better in the Magnus pics. However, it’s become clear to me that Galvatron definitely has a wide torso and low shoulders.

His shoulder joint actually seems like it attaches to the body at the right point, but it’s way too high up on Galvatron’s shoulders. It almost feels like it’s more attached to his shoulder “armor” than where his shoulder would actually be.

I’m not entirely sure why his torso is as wide as it is. I can only assume it’s to do with his transformation.

Sadly, I think I’ll have to pass due to the proportions just not doing it for me.

 

Even then, there were a lot of misconceptions from the early photos because of how much they accentuated her neck, and reduced her legs.

I don't know how you interpreted me saying the perspective is skewed as anything other than me saying the perspective is skewed. That's part of why the proportions look off in that photo.
