So that first shot on the black background - I saw that outside on a cell phone with the sun behind me for all of 10 seconds. After a few pages of what I can now see is obvious lens distortion (was this taken through a fishbowl, yeesh!) I am happy to retract my earlier comments.

The next few pics of him do seem to be photoshopped so withholding judgment until we get better in-hand pics. Not trusting official promo shots since colors usually change anyway. But at least I'll agree to keep an open mind.

We all need to be patient... and I'm going to include those of us who are cheerleading this thing. These photos are flawed. So let's wait for official photos or a video review.

I think the closest in accurate proportions we've seen so far is the picture with the window in the background. But it's a bit mistransformed. The sides of his chest aren't pushed in all the way, making his shoulders and shoulder pylons stick out to the side further than they should.

It is indeed the camera angles.

Kup and Blurr I can kind of understand but I think Kup is fine. But Cyclonus? I thought he was universally loved by all? He’s amazing! Best CHUG figure ever in my opinion. I’m dying for TT to make an MP that looks similar.

And I don’t agree with your earlier comment that proportions are the most important part of a Transformer. That is certainly true for human based figures and statues. But I could not possibly care less about perfect human proportions on an alien robot. Close enough is good enough. I don’t even care that much about the face sculpts. Especially on CHUG figures. If it looks close enough it’s fine with me. I think the issue is that CHUG figures have gotten so good lately that people are demanding perfection. I’m used to seeing people complain about face sculpts on MPs but that makes more sense to me. CHUG figures are inexpensive and made for collectors as well as kids. They don’t need to be 100% perfect. I cannot believe how many people are analyzing the helmet in these pics. Looks great to me.

I think this Galvatron will look a lot better in hand and away from that person taking the terrible photos making it look awful. And I wish people would actually read even one page of a thread before complaining about something that’s already been pointed out to be incorrect. Like the stubby legs in the latest pics.

I remember the first leaked pics of Cyclonus made him look a little weird, even chubby in jet mode.
But how great did he turn out to be in-hand???
    Rrrrrrrrrreal Great!!! :D

Galvatron is totally looking off cuz of bad photos. He’ll probably be totally rad

Bah, besides the dinky battle damage I think I'm happy with him. Once I see the toy / Marvel colors I'll definitely be sold I'm sure. :lolol  :lolol

So just to confirm: the portions are as bad as this leaker makes them seem?

At this point, it’s a bit hard to deny that the stumpy look is just how he looks. Real disappointing. The torso is really wide and just way too bulky in general. The chest piece on the cartoon model is within the rest of the torso, it doesn’t bulge out like that. Arms are too low for no particular reason, the torso is short and the legs feel a bit wrong amongst it all.

What went wrong when they designed this guy? Surely someone on the team had to have said something, they’ve made better proportioned figures of most of the other movie characters, and it doesn’t seem like any of this stuff is to accomodate alt mode. The cannon mode is probably the most accomodating out of the movie designs for robot bits and pieces.

It is the camera and the angle. The photographer is almost good, but his bubble lens and angles are severely distorting the image in ways I haven't seen before in Transformers photography.

Watch after all the arguing over photos the first official ones being the miss-transformed stock photos.

This is the main contributor to the problem I am seeing. The shoulders sit far below what would be the neck/clavicle line, and it just looks awkward.

Is this not the case on the actual toy? Seems like a pretty hard thing to distort.

Tbh they should just reveal the thing already, to settle it.

I think the damage is done, simple minded people will be convinced because it is a visual, and it's hard to argue down a visual without an alternative visual. But what I said is the truth. The proportions are much better than what we are presented with.

It is not something that will stick out to you as much or at all with a proper picture.

This is me Nova being a good girl and not trying to start anything, but uhh...

Does anyone know if any of the folks who take issue with Galvatron's fake as hell battle damage were someone to argue in favor of HasLab's Unicron lacking paint- *Shot*
