I’m hoping shockwaves lab comes through with not only new hands for dinobot but both of cheetors guns. I went onto shapeways earlier on to pick up the two guns but man it would’ve costing me over €40 for two guns for cheetor so that was a big no no

Dinobot’s chest looks awesome. I am the guy who whines about fake parts and I think this is a pretty good solution. It’s not completely show accurate, but I don’t need that. I do wish there was more paint on the legs, that’s my only complaint.

 

They aren't qorried, but it's going to get ugly here.

 

This is a terrible solution and your acceptance sets a shitty low bar. The issue isn't that it's not show accurate, the issue is that it integrates with the fake chest poorly. The fake dino chest doesn't follow the contours of the actual dino head from any angle, there's gap and uneven edges all over the center where they meet.

 

Believe it or not, @shamanking282 is allowed to like the figure as much as he wants whether you think he should or shouldn’t. You may think it sets the bar low, other people may find the engineering clever. People on either side should not be telling people on the other side that they’re wrong.

Broken wrists, non digitigrade, super deformed and non feathered dromaeosaur with deformed skull? They really took the key features of a dromaeosaur and scrapped it all. Featherless is understandable but others were sacrifices for transformation I guess.

Yeah, this “raptor” needs arms that aren’t broken at the wrist

Why would the tail stay attached in any scenario? It's his weapons. Even on the original toy you technically couldn't complete the transformation without taking the tail off.

 

You technically could leave it on, it just stuck straight up.

That was the nice thing about BW toys, everything could be left on. Sure it was better to take off the weapons and use them as, well, weapons, but Dinobot’s tail didn’t have to come off, Cheetor’s guns didn’t have to be removed (though it put the gut gun under a lot of stress) etc. I remember being floored as a kid that TM Rattrap could hold onto his whip between modes.

That said, when a guy like Dinobot’s weapons are so distinctive and arguably character-defining, a modern toy making them removable is pretty acceptable. It’s not like the tail coming off is making up for shortcomings of the transformation, it’s his sword and shield. (Or whatever)

 

Again, you could not technically complete the transformation (which includes folding up the panel on the back that the tail goes in in beast mode). Leaving the tail on is not completing the transformation.

 

I'm so in the fences with this. I know it I get anything outside the leaders I'm going to end up going all in on kingdom

 

Both look pretty great, though I wish Dinobot was doing a more aggressive gesture with his raptor hands instead of looking like he's waiting for his nail polish to dry.

At this point my only beef with Dinobot depends on whether you can at least freely spin the tail rotor weapon, since it obviously doesn't have a spring-loaded switch to make it spin

Hopefully when we get the new Ultra Magnus stock images the crotch plate is transformed PROPERLY

 

Is it just me or does Ultra Magnus look mighty fine with a new pair of shades, I mean sure the cab mode is total garbage and I honestly thought they would remold ER Optimus, but DAMN he dummy thicc

 

Yup...still gives me chills. BW is not my generation, but that episode is, IMHO, some of the greatest television most people have never heard of.
