I’m skipping Tracks (love Chug) but THIS is a fantastic use of the mold. Now, any chances we get a Loudpedal? -A.S.
For as much as I love the idea of Road Rage, I refuse to believe that she can be that important to someone to die on a hill over a character design for a U-list character who hasn't really had a truly definitive design. I'm honestly stunned. Like, can't even be mad or upset or anything, I'm just laughing!
yeah looks about what I expected. I'm hoping for maybe some markings on the shin to make it pop a little more but its nice as is.
Cool that people get to whine about the color of Prime's hands or Sideswipe not having a spoiler but fans of obscure character get shut down if they have any criticisms ever.
She’s not really that important to me. I just REALLY fucking hate the Michael Bay Prime-styled mouth. It looks hideous.
I'm guessing because it's a case of "Look, the first, original version of the character had a faceplate therefore HAS to stay with the faceplate."
You can say you prefer the mouth plate, it's actually my usual preference for her. It just doesn't help when you scream at people who try to offer an explanation for Hasbro's thought process.
I’m ambivalent on if Road Rage has the feminine (MP & Animated) face or the Faceplate (G1 Tracks toy) face, so long as it was different to the Kingdom Tracks face I’d have been happy. Saying that, Road Rage is canonically female & as others have said before, in the absence of all the other remolding (hips, thighs etc) that the MP had, when there’s just a head remold using the more feminine face gets the point across better. The MP & comic Road Rage all has the humanoid face, so that looks to be the way HasTak are going with her in fiction now, for better or for worse. Another reason that hasn’t been mentioned as much in this thread though is the increased presence in fiction Loud Pedal (black Tracks) has gotten this last few years. And he does have the faceplate. Much like Prowl, Bluestreak & Smokescreen all had the same toy face in G1 but different heads for MP / WfC, I’d argue HasTak now views Loud Pedal as the one with the faceplate in fiction. I fully expect we’ll get a Tracks with face plate as Loud Pedal in Selects in the next year or so, and that way we have 3 different characters with 3 different heads. I don’t believe Hasbro or retailers would want 3 versions of the toy at retail at roughly the same time though, so like Deep Cover was released a year later you’ll likely have to wait a bit for him. I genuinely think this means a Selects Loud Pedal is much more likely now, because they would have used it here otherwise.
