Armada Optimus almost was, there was a minicon, a whole Monster Truck micromaster team
I would've liked to have seen the MicroMaster patrols redone as combiner limbs. The center piece could then be either an appropriate MicroMaster base commander or a new character that fits the theme. So for example, you'd start with the rescue patrol. Stakeout and Red Hot would be arms with Seawatch and Fixit as legs. Then they could have a rescue helicopter or a mobile command center van thing as the leader. Erector with his weird crane trailer could lead the construction patrol.
Erector would form the crotch.
Now, the dumb part of the following "cool idea" hinges on me knowing jack about retail and marketing, and the market for the idea being a niche within a niche.
Bring back micro change as it's own line, then rotate between vehicles, micro change, and beasts every 6 (two year runs each) or 9 (three year runs each) intervals.
You take all the "not vehicle and not animal" alt mode bots like perceptor, reflector, and team soundwave, and then you just throw them into their own line mixed with the botbots. Or something.
Power Core Combiners Mudslinger & Salvage.
Neat thanks. Kind of surprised we've never had a big bulky Voyager or bigger Monster Truck
The logistics on one would probably be a royal headache
Heh, probably. Stranger things have happened though.
Yeah. Outback would also work too.
A G2 Mini-Bot set featuring chrome repaints of
Not my pic. Ignore purple Brawn.
Nice idea, but I'd just make it POTP/CW/TR across the board with Titans Return Bee & Roadburn as Bee and Hubcap to keep the cost at the same level.
Maybe Kingdom or the next trilogy will bring ER sized minibot remakes? I'd love a new Powerglide myself.
Personally I wouldn't want to see any of the Minibots get any larger than the The CW/TR/POTP molds. Any bigger and well they really are no longer Minibots. Heck at that scale they are the same size as Hot Rod and some of the Seekers as it is.
I think they mean the size of Cliffjumper.
Cliffjumper is Legends sized, just Deluxe engineered. Though honestly? I really hate Minibots stuck at Legends scale. Why the hell does a tank and warthog get dwarfed by an 18-wheeler? Blaster was a fucking massive toy but that doesnt get reflected anymore
Here is a dumb idea. Those rumored Fossilizers? Once all the deluxe ones (3 molds expected for me) come out, through out a leader-sized one that can combine with any four sets to make either a combiner-scaled Humanoid form or a bone beast form, depending on if you use the Decepticon version!
Another one, you say? How about a series of G1-ified movie-verse characters? Use the G1 molds and style with movie-verse colors. Silver Siege Sideswipe with a bit of retooling to look more Earthlike, ER Ratchet in Green, Drift and Dropkick from Springer molds, Rumored Galvatron in AoE colors, you get it.
One last go? Ok, boomermobile. A recolor of ER Ironhide with the words "OK Boomer" deco'd on the side. The first of Memeformers. The next one would be Thanos Truck and Coptor from PotP Battletrap. Lastly, crabrave rampage in rainbow colors.
So Delegend class? Or Leguxe?
And yeah there are some oddities there... I have the Legends Warpath and he's more of a Tankette. Also a Voyager sized A-10 would be great!
There are all fantastic ideas
No specific comments on the Fossilizer idea other than I'm always for creative ways to combine figures.
G1-ified movie characters I'm honestly surprised hasn't really happened given how often they've done G1 coloured alternate versions of movie toys. Honestly? I would buy a Black version of Ironhide, maybe Black with red trim? Not entirely Bayverse accurate colourscheme but I think it'd look cool
A G1 Optimus with flame decals and an aversion to solid red could be kind of cool I guess xD Midlifecrisis Prime
The one problem with Memeformers of course would be how quickly memes move but eh who cares?
I loved Ultra Powerglide
Ok really dumb one here but...
An Emirate Xaaron figure sold in a blind box. Out of every 1000 999 will have certain ball joints that are too small and the figure falls apart if you try to Transform him. Bot mode is fine and you would just need to put him back together and keep him in robot mode.
One in a thousand would be the chase figure that could actually transform. Now since it's just ball joints you could fix up a broken one so the chase figure should have a little different coloring.
For those unsure as to why...
"In his confrontation against Flame, Xaaron indicates that it has been hundreds of years since he last transformed, and that should he attempt to do so, the shock to his system may well be fatal."
