just got one off of ebay. thanks
aaaand bought. Too friggin' cool to pass up. Thanks for the heads up!
Also just looked up the other mode. Eh. I'll skip it.
Yeah, just a fun optional extra. I think the scorpion / cassette stands on its own merits.
Yeah I can tell. I'll just skip the gun mode.
Two of my favorite people made a transforming cassette in my favorite color combo. Yeah! Of course I was down. It came in today. Gonna crack it open later this evening. Big thanks Sid and Big Tin Robot.
Saw it on eBay a few days ago and it was bought on sight. One for me and one for my son. WOOT WOOT!!!!
Anyone know where to get one for cheap?
Kinda neat. I like this mold but for what it's worth, I'd only pick this up if it were like $15 or so. Just my 2 cents.
A Sting reference as well as the Scorpions in the bio? Pretty cool, but a bit on the nose, eh? Haha Good job is what I meant to say.
Hmm. Their tapes may not be perfect but none of the KFC tapes have ever broken on me (and I have 10 of the suckers already).
Aside from Jetdancer and Slamtank (who are pretty awful) the rest are fairly awesome and the only QA problem I had was Ironpaw's little gun barrels being a right pain to flip out.
Hmm. I think I see the secret mode in that design, and it's not a gun. Too easy.
Hmm so we get a tattooing machine TF?
Yes, from myself or Big Tin Robot, the only two sellers of this item in the world.
I like the way you think!
Huh? what are you talking about, Stinger was the only solid piece in that set. Now Doubledeck and Mandy to me those seem Fragile but I guess experiences differ from piece to piece I suppose.
I just bought one today. To cool not to have in these colors and for a cassette collector.
I just received this guy today, hes awesome! The quality is very good, certainly nothing to be worried about even with some very tiny parts. Its been mentioned before but I love the bio, its great! I'm very happy with this little guy!
My Mandy is kinda loosy goosy (though she still holds in any pose or position, her parts just move easily) and Doubledeck's got some looseness to him and some stress marks and a cracks in two pegholes, but nothing's broken on either for me.
With Stinger the very first time I tried transforming it back into tape mode I tried rotating the claw about the ball joint and instead the entire arm twisted off near his face with virtually no resistence. The plastic failed with very much minimal force (and that area I'm pretty sure from an engineering standpoint has a stress concentration due to a fairly sharp angle. Thankfully TCP was kind enough to send me a second Stinger and from what I've read Brandon Weik himself had an issue with one of Stinger's legs.
Perhaps it is a case by case thing. My second Stinger has been fine but I've been far more cautious in handling him.
From Benscollectible's review of SG Transistor it sounds like they've upped the quality much like XTB's Andras did.
Good to hear.
