While God ginrai is huge compared to most transformers from that show, sometimes it can make him into a freaking giant.



And that’s not getting into the fact that god bomber somehow is able to fit in three vehicles. There’s no way anyone is going to replicate THAT.

Same designer has made everything KFC to my knowledge, up to and including most recently Apeface / Snapdragon. I'd assume he designed this as well (although all the KFC designs are very much dictated by Kieth).

Which is the same designer that did Feral Rex ;-)

 

Almost everything that KFC puts out looks strange, has design flaws or is a quality control nightmare.
How do they keep making toys? There stuff is almost always on deep clearance, and word of mouth is normally not great.

 

Finally, a G1 PMOP !! This is my PMOP holy grail. Something that correctly shows the cab with one pair of wheels at the back.
Can't wait to watch the progress of this !!

I totally disagree with your opinion... Some of the sturdiest bots come from KFC.

 

Almost everything? Pretty gross exaggeration.

Crash Hog (and the other one), Transistor (and tapes), Simba, Apeface, and Snapdragon are all super well done, well reviewed, well received. Pretty much the defacto MP versions of those characters, to the point noone else has even bothered. MakeToys has shown drawings for Apeface/Snapdragon I think though, but that's been it.

Aesthetically Stratotanker and Dikta are still great, but some quality issues if you're not careful.

They've definitely had their ups and downs though - but it's nowhere near "almost everything", and the ones that had major issues (really just Dikta) were quite a while back. Citizen Stack is a fine figure, but mainly got clearanced because MP Ultra Magnus happened around a similar time.

 

This looks promising! Powermaster Prime was my first ever Optimus I owned as a kid! I really like KFCs stuff and have been wanting a MP style PM Prime. Just never really liked Power Baser. Very cool KFC!

 

Every company could just drop everything and make nothing but Powermaster Primes and Godbomber’s and goddamnit I would buy them all.

So yeah, I’m interested in this.

I'm so sick of this scale discussion. the scale in all of the g1 Shows(both American AND Japanese) is completely absurd and changes almost nonstop. we know this for sure: Super Ginrai is shorter than Overlord, God Ginrai is the height of Overlord, and Star Saber is the height of God Ginrai. Ginrai's cab bot form changed scales through out the show, I recall him being taller than his Autobot Godmaster and Headmaster brethren in some points, and the exact same height in others. personally I'd prefer him to be the size of MP10 because that just makes logical sense to me from the alt mode stand point, but ultimately, its futile to try and argue what is the """"""true"""""" scale, because there is none.
as for the toy itself.... well its obviously pretty early in Production, I definitely need to see renders/prototypes of the cab in bot mode before I make any real decision, but other than the head I think the Super Mode is quite nice and show accurate. the Trailer looks impressive with how its actually functions as a trailer, I'm really curious to see how thats going to work. It looks like the Cab will have an interior for Ginrai to sit inside too which is super sweet. the base mode actually looks better than the G1 toy, which, while not impressive, is still better than every other modern attempt at it.
So I'm not completely sold yet, but it has the potential to be my one and only Ginrai.

 

Regular ginrai was the same size as shura and cab so that probably translates to a deluxe size. I’d be satisfied if ginrai was the same size as siege Optimus.
