Anybody come up with a 100% guaranteed way to make sure the backpack stays plugged in for robot mode?

Watch Emgo's review, he gave some tips about that.

I just rewatched that video for this exact reason. He gives no tips. Just shows how it's supposed to work. And it doesn't work. I'm going to try modifying the cockpit i guess.

I try to tuck the one set of hands that's up top around the backpack. You can angle them in a little, and it helps.

It's interesting to see the improvements they made on snapdragon, he seems a lot sturdier.

I have spent a little time with these guys recently. I think they have not aged very well, although in photos they do not look bad...

Yeah they look outdated compared to what can be done now, but they are still very well built figures. It's up to FT or OM to make an updated version of the Horrorcons, I am leaning towards FT though...

They are still good enough for me, especially if they are priced like the original (even with a small increase).

But please use white parts instead of silver. That's all I'm waiting for.

I don't collect S4, but I don't mind picking up a few figures here and there.

I'm hoping FT announces this character sometime in the near future.

I think I'm set with these guys. I would have preferred white over silver myself but now that I have them and I'm used to them, I'm fine with it. It definitely doesn't bother me enough to put out $350 or more for a new pair, LOL

Unlike most 3P MP figures, these are actually pretty fun to play with and transform. They're not overly complicated, they have a good shelf presence, they're well-articulated for their size, and other than the colors they're show-accurate. And even the colors kind of are accurate for some scenes. They even have the old school 'power meter' feature still in effect. I honestly like them lust as such as the FT headmasters. FT's have nicer decos but XTB's are bigger, more poseable, triple-change, and have great shelf presence as well.

They definitely would benefit from a premium deco, though. If XTB rereleases these with the same love that Scourge got, I think people should buy them.

So I just received a used copy of Apeface and he came with everything but the white hands. If anyone is willing to part with theirs, please let me know. I'm out all day today so I'll answer late tonight/tomorrow.

If you're needing the spare set of hands that have to be assembled that comes with him, I am throwing in an order for one in the next couple weeks. I could let you know once it comes in, if you are still looking for the hands. I don't see myself bothering with the effort to switch them around

I'm a huge MMC fanboy, but I have to admit stye would have to do something pretty spectacular in their Occular Max series for me to get rid of these guys. They come off like how I pictured the toys inn my mind back when I was a kid.

I have to say I totally agree with you here. They really captured the look and feel of how I wanted them to be as a kid too. Took me a bit to finally jump on them, well Kingzilla at least but all the images I've seen of them both I can't wait to have both in hand and on the shelf
