Saw Rook and the others at the Nicholasville Road Meijer. Just a lone set. But that was about 21 hours ago.
Lexington had a spot for him when I went by yesterday, but it was empty (of course) No clue when they actually got their stock in.
Wednesday morning. Don't know how many they had in the back but I took two off the shelf. I hope the guy working there who I talked to one day last week got the one he wanted.
Wednesday (16th) was when I went by TRU, and it was around noon when I went in. Funny that the first time in months I go there lucks out to be the exact day they come in, but yet I still miss them. Probably all got reserved before I got in. Hate store hunting, but whatchagonnado.
There'll be more. Prowl saw many restocks, they restocked Streak too. I'm confident they'll do the same with this one. But seriously, be there when they open.
It's only the second tier characters ( like Prowl and Streak ) that get a lot of stock. Tier A characters don't seem to get enough. Prime and Soundwave for example were very hard to find. Starscream could be hard to get.
For those really wanting it's sake, I hope not. The spreading news of QC issues may very much drive the desire to buy down. Certainly puts a bigger risk on buying through eBay. If nothing else, maybe that'll scare away scalpers. What I can tell you is that your best bet is to check TRU.com ahead of time if you can. Especially now that the Store Pick-up option is back up on the site. Because the merchandise is inventoried ahead of opening, you should be able to watch for days when their trucks come in and know exactly if they have a Starscream on sight. I'm guessing it's two to a box. That's what I was banking on before that option was taken down last time. As it is, I got lucky driving back over there Wednesday morning and being the first one through the door. I had been there Tuesday morning as well and almost didn't make the trip back over. Because of my work schedule, I'm usually asleep them. Man, I hope that guy with one arm gets one too... I suspect he'll be wanting one. I know he wanted Prowl that day.
Unfortunately I have no idea what days their trucks come in, and there's little to no way I can get in right at opening. I've been checking the store option on TRU's site figuring it should list from inventory if they've gotten any, but can't really bring myself to trust it.
Happen to cruise by Lex TRU on lunch and managed to snag one! There were 2 left as of 12:15, I'm guessing they stocked a few cases as two were in an empty RID15 spot (not hidden), so there could be more in back.
Yeah, they get trucks on Wednesdays. So that's a good time to go by. I have an order through the website that I'm waiting to come in, so there's no reason for me to check.
That's what I had been hoping for since HR said he went in Tuesday and nada, but Wednesday they were there. I was honestly surprised to be able to complete the hunt so quickly so I wanted to be sure to pay it forward here. Didn't get to own many TF's as a kid in the 80's, and basically none of the main guys (except for a broken Jazz). So MP SS is a big win for me since he was always one of my top favorite characters...and vehicles. Only problem is that his fingers were backwards, but that seems to be every single one of them and they just flip right around. - I can ignore some sloppy flash, though it is disappointing.
Yeah... I was strongly hinting to that point. It seems that it used to be Tuesdays... but things change.
