While the KFC Tempest mold is a neat (and has a great Targetmaster!), coming out as normal Cyclonus is a bit boring. So I was wondering what would be coolest recolors or remolds we could see from it. I went through and compiled every Hasbro recolor of the mold, and a ton of digibashs and customs of Cyclonus.

Which ones, if any, might you have interest in seeing made from the Tempest/Thug mold?

    Strafe and Rocketbot

Onyx Primal and Pack Rat (okay, it's not Packrat in the diginash, I made that up! They worked together in the Botcon comics)

the best bet for a redeco/tooling would likely be to go IDW...the rest seem more like limited run -con exclusive redeco/toolings...the Ferak & Devcon itch has been scratched for me...and I no longer collect SG...so being the Cyclonus the best chance at a purchase from me would be the IDW route...

I'm sad to say I don't care for KFC Tempest. He still looks stumpy even in peaughs review. Generations Cyclonus I think is our definitive update to the character until someone does better.

One of the advantages the Tempest mold has over the Cyclonus mold is that the head is entirely hidden inside the jet mode, instead of being part of the jet nosecone. This means it can be completely replaced with any other head of any shape without messing up the transformation or having to remold the nosecone to fit it.

No. I don't like the mould enough to want any of those.

    Sorry Keith.

Onyx Primal is more popular than I thought... A Botcon/Beast Wars homage of all things.

None. KFC has really turned me off to their stuff with the excessive recolors. I understand getting the most out of a mold, but the Preceptor recolors are out of hand and the figure is not a good fit for any of them. Then you have the Ultra Magnus recolor that improved a figure months after release. Honestly, I think they would be better off holding off on the recolors and working on new figures to help improve their image. While I have not completely sworn off KFC figures, many collectors have due to their past practices regarding recolors (and quality).

I think this would be really cool as a Star Saber remold / recolor and also Swoop as well. I would 100% buy a Star Saber one

Don't like this as Cyclonus. But if KFC Mugan Scopes the shit out this mold than I'm all in. Not only give me Space Case, give me Hooligan and Skyjack. G2 Cyberjets baby, make it a three pack. Plus then you could do the Autobot cyberjets too. Then give some more targetmasters, Needlenose and Triggerhappy two pack. Then Metalhawk, Onyx Primal and Star Saber, hell yeah. While I don't like this as Cyclonus I really think that the mold has a lot of potential to fill a lot of our CHUG holes.
