I have Soar and Transistor together in an order, but it hasn't shipped yet.  

 

Got mine from BBTS today. No Trumpets or Soundwave hands as stated in the preorder. Have an email in to customer service.

 

That's weird, aren't the trumpets packaged in the box with the figure?

 

Missing MP-13 hands as well .. Everything else is flawless however.

Man, Hi-Fi looks GREAT. I know people where positing pictures of those PE guys or whatever company they're from - but this guy looks awesome and can transform into a tape.

Making sure he is properly transformed makes him look awesome as well. Don't forget to extend his waist, tuck his back shoulder blades up and the feet as well! Awesome awesome  

 

it was said somewhere earlier that the soundwave hands were to ship separately, but there was no follow-up info at all (e.g., how/when).

 

I was told mine would ship separately but that was by my request to expediate Blaster. I haven't had an update yet but they might be busy. I will drop an email and confirm if I hear anything of interest.

 

As i mentioned earlier, soundwave hands were delivered with my Transistor.
They were just thrown in with the packaging, not with Transistor himself and i almost missed them.

How is the paint in tape mode? Tacky? Sloppy? Got a pic?

The paint wasn't sticky or tacky - it felt a little .. Weird though. Like it was jusssst done drying.

Wasn't sloppy at all actually, I feel like I lucked out. The lettering/thin black lines/words are a little "worn/faded/not dark enough" in some spots.

He's in robot mode now; I applied some floor polish to all the painted areas that looked somewhat "fresh" however, just as a precaution.

I'll upload some pictures in a few minutes actually....!

EDIT: Picture's uplaoded. Ignore the thumb print on Blaster's door -- noticed it after pic was taken! He's clean meow ; ) lol

 

I've got my preorder in. Can...not...wait...

So much for being a takara purist. I love the design of this figure. Hope the QC for it redeems KFC.

 

Pretty much my exact feelings. Hifi feels different but not sticky. I really like tge little guy, ankle pivot ftw!

 

Well let's hope it's a very limited issue and I just got unlucky. Not worth returning because I can probably touch up the areas myself at some point - at least he's not broken or missing parts. It has put a bit of a downer on the figure for me though; which for someone who was already on the fence in the first place isn't good!  

Yeah same here, Soundwave hands separate in the parcel in a little baggie. Remember to check your packaging folks!

First transformation, the first foot was fine

but the second just twisted off in my hand with practically no effort.







Gutted. Going to email the supplier now to see what can be done.
Hope no-one else has this issue.

Pretty solid actually (different design to Blaster's, whose fingers feel more spindly). Haven't installed them yet but planning on it  

Gotta admit, that part of the transformation was one of the things that made me give up and go back to robot mode; seemed almost impossible to get the foot past that stupid folding piece without bending it unnaturally.
