I believe I'll wait for FansToys' version of MP Blaster. Or Takara's.

you think they would learn from their past figures and increase the QC, i wonder if the shark figures will all have similar issues

You know what's funny, a KO of the Sharks may have much better quality.

I might give this a look. After the abomination that was the combiner cassettes, I was hesitant to give KFC another purchase. When the MP Magnus reveal underwhelmed me, I started giving Stack a hard look and picked up a V2 at BotCon. Glad I did, the figure looks great and has no issues. Admittedly, I will probably buy the upgrade head, but not because I hate the stock head. I think it looks fine and never would have given it much thought if there weren't an upgrade head available. But since I can G1 him up at low cost, why not spring for it?

Back on topic, I would get this if it turned out pretty well and if Takara showed an MP Blaster that fell short for me in some way.

We've been working on it a while, comes with a full colour comic.

Did we mention that it is scheduled for release at the end of August?

Its only just been announced mate, have a little patience. But I agree prototypes and colour renders on protos are what sells the product.

After the fiasco that was Stack, I'm going to wait for a review before taking a risk on another KFC figure.

If that's the case, why the computer renders? Surely something less than three weeks from release should have some test shots, if not final product, available...

Remember, you must like everything KFC (or whatever they've changed their name to to stay ahead of the law) or Xovergen or anybody does or you're automatically a troll. You don't have the toy yet; how can you know it's flawed?

    Etc. etc. etc.

You know, I wish the somewhat more heavy handed modding around here of late would extend to nonsense like that above. I'm very sick of being told what I can or can not like. If you like KFC, that's cool, but please understand that they have an extremely poor track record. And guess what?

    They've earned it.

MMC had a bad track record, but they clawed their way out of it. Maybe KFC can do the same! I want there to be more viable 3p products out there. I like probably two thirds of KFCs design choices! I don't like questionable quality, constant fixes that don't always fix things, endless repaints, etc. This is not an unreasonable way to feel. In fact, most responses in this thread are not unreasonable. What is reasonable is worrying about the quality of the latest toy from KFC. Or Xovergen. Or anyone who bites off more than they can chew. I feel that 3p companies should start small, and NAIL small before moving on to big. KFC has a long way to go before they've nailed anything.

As for the idea of MP Blaster? Cool, I guess. I feel like this is something Takara/Tomy might actually get around to. The renders look good, but, much like the sharks, altho' I like the aesthetic that they're shooting for, I'd be too worried about problems down the line.

Good luck to 'em. I hope they concentrate on quality.

No, if you pop up in ever single KFC thread with immediate "V2" jokes, you are trolling.
