Well, firstly it was for resurrecting a pretty dead thread. Secondly it was for asking a strange question with very little chance of getting a response, thus potentially wasting both valuable reading time and precious eyeball juices. And thirdly, I was worried this topic might evoke some repressed and painful memories in some of the users. Perhaps as a child they were chased by a screaming maniac wearing nothing but a Wreck Gar mask and wielding a large marrow. Who knows?

 

I'm not sure about that part coming off, at least I've never seen anyone take it off on purpose. That said, if it's a ball joint in a socket, I can't imagine that won't come out. If it wouldn't come out easily, a little hair dryer heat (very low) would soften the socket and allow it to pop out. Of course, since I've never done it, this is at your risk but I'd probably bet the farm on it. I've never seen a ball socket you couldn't get out. Some of the more difficult sockets have cut outs in the back of the socket so you can stick something in there like a spudger to help give it a shove from behind.

Don't stab yourself in the hand doing that, hold it with a towel if you use a tool.   Ask me how I know.

Exactly this. As long as a thread is "resurrected" with relevant content, I think that's totally fine. LOTS of good things can happen (and have happened) due to someone just adding content  

 

Just received my first CH From TFS, only $118.00. And i have Reprolabels on the way.

Other than the beard that needs to be glued in, he's a pretty solid piece, love the design and tight ratchet joints.

Bah, I'll never figure this forum out. Sometimes repaints get their own threads and other times they just get added to the existing thread. Imagine what would have happened if the 6 Toro repaints that came out in July all got their own threads instead of added to the end of the existing Toro thread.

Unless there is a special reason to create a new thread, I'd just leave it all together. We'll all just be sharing picks of Crash-Hog and Shard together with the other Junkions once this one comes out.

Got the reissue up for preorder. Will be my first Wreck-Gar figure.

 

Just a heads up to anyone who owns this. We're moving house and I've been packing up my collection. The moustache and beard have literally disintegrated in my fingers. Very poor plastic even though its thin.

Tried to glue it back together but didn't hold. Damn shame, good figure!

 

Same thing happened to mine, but I was able to get a replacement face with facial hair from KFC'S customer service when I reached out to them. Hopefully, they can do the same for yours.

 

I wonder if moisturizing his 'stache with some lotion will keep it from drying out. That's what I did with my T30 Rhinox's buttocks when it started to dry out, and it worked like a charm.

 

Was going back and forth on whether to keep my preorder of this as I have too many other figures in the near future coming in. This just helped me decide to cancel it.
