At least the movie designs can stand out on their own and amongst other TF universes.. Say what you want about the Movie designs but at least they distinguish themselves and are not just “G1 but gritty.”

The biggest problem with Siege lies in the fact that it tries to do different things while simultaneously trying to be like G1. What results is this boring middle ground that leaves many unsatisfied. People are put off by the voice acting in the show because those voices are coming out of characters that look EXACTLY like G1. Had Siege had a unique aesthetic that made it stand out from the others, it would make more sense for them to sound or act differently.

There is a degree of separation for most Transformers universes, including the movies, that allows people to appreciate for what it is without comparing it to G1 (though that doesn’t stop people from doing it lol).

 

I actually thought the movie robots were good. Some didnt exactly fin the character best (angry dorito), and some were a mess of gray metal (a LOT of decepticons), but besides that there were a lot of different body types, unique transformations, and cool designs. The writing did decline progressively (except DOTM) but the writing doesnt really effect the designs unless its TLK where eceryone is supposed to look like a human knight with zero vehicle parts (those designs were weird to me)

In all seriousness, you cannot lump all of the designs together as bad. There are good and bad designs in the movies, just as there are good and bad G1 designs, good and bad Animated Designs, and Good and Bad Beast Machines designs. Saying that all the designs for the first 5 films are bad is a lazy blanket statement.

 

Long Haul had a good design...but how long was it on screen? 10 seconds?

Most of the decepticons were metal(or scrap?) monsters.

 

Just let go guys, you guys enjoyed probably the biggest budgets that transformers will ever have and now it's over just let it go

 

Most of those characters were there for less than 5 minutes

 

Eh, lower-budgeted TF movies might not necessarily be a bad thing, though, if they can balance the character moments and the action out better than either Bay or Knight did...plus, seeing the way things are now, I'm kinda feeling lower budgets are going to be the foreseeable future of Transformers as a live-action film franchise anyway.

 

Beast Machine designs should be classified as horror.

I actually like both, bay’s bumblebee design was one of the few good designs from the bayverse but I would choose knight’s design

Easy, Michael Bay had an Unlimited Budget and the advantage of there having not been any live action Transformers prior. Decides he's going to remake Transformers in his image. Transformers fans dying to see their favorite franchise flock to the theater along with the general audience. Bad film makes lots of money, continues the formula until people finally got fed up with terrible movies and the fans who were insulted from the start never came back, eventually losing millions.

WFC Siege with not even a fraction of the budget, is the first serious transformers television series since Transformers Prime. At this point in Transformers Media if Siege fails the message will be same as when Bay made his 5th dumpster fire.

That message being. "We will need to come back in some years and try something new"

If your asking the difference;

Bay - unlimited budget, absolute trash plot, disrespect to the lore and fans and horrendus bot designs. I'd rather have no movies at all than his trash.

Siege - miniscule budget decent plot, sure would like to see how far it can go.
