I bought 2 TRU Exclusive Optimus Primes. One is pretty solid and little to complain about. The other, I cant seem to get the chest piece to close all the way when the matrix is in the chest. I've tried to place it in a couple different ways, and it got a little annoying. Also, in that same unit, there is some black paint on the top of the chest piece, battle damage?

Anyway, I know these are some pretty minor nitpicks, My plan was to just keep one in the box and one on display, but when I saw these imperfections I decided to crack the other one and inspect.

So, the question again, is return it as defective or keep it.

 

Return the one your not thrilled with and keep the other one.  

 

The figure just popped off on my "good" model. Maybe I need to keep the other one as a donor... lol

 

i had one that had a problem with the chest doors closing. it was the clear blue window piece wasnt snapped all the way into the door. i took the screw out, snapped it back and replaced the screw. closes perfectly now.

i could tell before i made the adjustment that the blue part holding the screw was just a tiny tiny bittoo far out. i heard a definitive snap when i pushed it back in and then everything was fine.

 

Yeah... I thought it might be the blue piece as well. I fiddled around with it and no luck.

Not too worried I guess. I'm glad I got one good one though since they are sold out in my area and looks to be online.

 

weird, I'm not having that issue with mine :/

It seems to be common in a lot of the TRU MP Prime figures.

Maybe I just got lucky or something.
