I initially saw this as a release by a company KKB, but seemed to have the logo of KBB on the boxart. With the recent KOs of MPP10 advertised/listed as MMP10, I wasn’t sure if this is a similar KO-ing going on. Did some quick searches here and didn’t find anything so decided to start a thread about it for additional info.

I ordered one last week - I already have the Generation Toy Shiny one - but the standard colour is quite hard to get - so this is ideal to go with the flat Gray Megs.

I'd like a Metallic Grimlock some time if they wanted to make one.

Had this come out 6 months ago, I would've picked it up, but now the Mech Planet Prime is the one for me.

A Nemesis repaint could persuade me perhaps...

I have a KBB Grey Megatron and the Generation toy Megatron from the 2 pack and they are the exact same size.
If you want a Megatron of this design that is bigger there are two one of them is Deluxe size and has a different head and the other one is a Big Voyager size and is shiny painted like the two pack.

Unfortunately there is as yet no upscale of the Generation Toy Optimus - just a straight KO the KBB being that. The Generation toy was also made with metallic paint (in the two pack) and in standard colour (like the KBB one) and in clear as a kit.

Likewise Megatron was also made in clear plastic & Grey plastic as a kit too. Though If I recall correctly the KBB Megatron is a slightly darker shade of grey than the kit version is.

This Optimus is a 1-1 KO of the standard Kit Optimus with only minor paint differences. I would say it's like the 2 pack version but without the metallic red body but with the spray masking of everything else of the sold assembled version.

He's a nice enough little optimus anyway if perhaps feeling a bit to much like the model kit he is.

Does anybody here have it meanwhile? I need a legend scale OP. Should I take this for low or just be patient and get the Magic Square one? Does this KBB fit with MFT Megs?

So, this is a great little Prime figure. I do have the original that came in a set with Megs but I cannot find it for the life of me. Going off memory I am comfortable saying that this release is the superior toy. It’s the same size and I don’t think anything in the sculpt has changed but this one has rubber tires. I thought the GT felt rather delicate in a few areas and had loose joints but this one is rock solid all over and the small hinged areas just don’t feel as delicate.

Paint is perfect, colors are great. Alt mode holds together really well and rolls nicely. This is still my favorite Prime alt mode in any scale. I love the sharp angles, clean design and short rear section. It’s just a perfect little rolly cube of goodness.

Here’s how he looks hauling Dutch’s trailer. Wheels are the same size and it sits level, though it doesn’t actually connect.

Does anyone have this one and the DX9 War in Pocket Megatron for a comparison pic or two?

Megatron would be really small next to him.

The MFT one is pretty much spot on though MFT Megs is half a head taller and looks correct with that Optimus.
So he's pretty much Legends Plus scale. Looks good with MFT Galvatron too.

He's not expensive i'd say to anyone who doesn't mind having multiple Optimus Prime's he's worth buying in his won right - there is the option of the GT two pack too which is sometime pretty inexpensive too and you get the Megatron as well that way.
The only thing really some people might find a bit off putting about him is - he's quite wide.

So no he's not at all suitable for a DX-9 Megatron.

    Confirming.
GT is too tall. You need DX9's Dutch or the old Hybrid Optimus Prime if you're trying to scale with DX9 Megatron.
