I'd at least consider these if I was into that kind of thing. They'd go well with Kabaya Fort Max (if I was into that kind of thing).

 

Is it just me, or does that Menasor look really, really fat?

They come with a small stick of chewing gum.

 

This is exactly what people want, but as decent poseable deluxe / voyager sized Generations toys. The actual look and design of the toys is great, that's the Superion and Menasor I want, but not derpy little cheap versions.

 

They might be interesting if properly painted but painting things that small is always a pain in the skid plate. They really are very muddled colours.

So which waves would you need to buy to be able to build these two gestalts?

 

The look and design of these 3 new combiner limbs to me are a HUGE FAIL. Why Kabaya chose to do this instead of just sticking with how they made defensor is a total mystery.. Defensor looks like a masterpiece when compared to these new combiners. The limbs look nothing like their G1 counterparts with the exception of maybe 2 of them.

Where they went wrong on these is releasing 3 combiners at one time as 1 wave because then they had to make the limbs. But if they had to make separate limbs it would have cost too much to make i think so they took the cheap rout and made these swappable parts limbs and that's where it just all turns to crap. It looks like you will need to buy like 2 cases of limbs just to get enough parts to make all the limbs for all three torsos.

They should have released 1 combiner over the next 3 waves , then released proper limbs for each figure just as they did with Defensor, This way we could have gotten something like a Megatron , Soundwave and Onslaught in a wave with second gia limbs assortment and then maybe the following wave a RID Optimus, Bumblebee and Silverbolt wave with limbs assortment.. Something along the lines like what they did with the Hotshot wave to make Defensor..

I think Kabaya will be left scratching their heads as to why these do not sell as well as the Defensor set and a lot of the online stores will have preorders canceled for the limbs.. I know I am canceling mine right now. Im just buying the Silverbolt, Onslaught and Motormaster, maybe they will release better limbs in the future once they realize how bad these are..

 

I've got to say i'm quite liking these. There are some refreshing twists to the original design which i do not mind at all.

The way they're selling it makes it more Scramble city exciting, i can see myself trading doubles in the playground. Not so great for those who got the defensor but Kabaya traditionally is all over the shop when it comes to whats coming out, it seems to me.
