My first 3p in general. I follow 3rd party figures a lot but this is the first I actually dipped on. And no thanks to challenger. I like my figures not blocky unless they're meant to be lmao

I found that the toe hinge actually goes a long way towards the articulation that a front to back ankle would provide. I'm able to overlook the lack of ankle because of how complex the leg transformation is along with the toe hinge

Challenger doesn't look blocky at all in-hand. And the transformation alone makes him worth it. Anyway, glad you're enjoying your LA Hire.

Not sure if anyone cares but the Aventador is smaller than the centenario. The Aventador is 15 ft 8 in the centenario is 16 ft and some change. Hot rod turns into a larger car than lockdown. Decided to Google it after I watch this video.

Dunno if this is common knowledge or not, but I found a way that the wings kinda clip in place on the back. Idk if it's part of the design or just a interesting coincidence, but I was just messing around with wing configurations and they slid right into place. Nothing is stressed, but its rock solid, these wings aren't going anywhere. The only direction they move is when you extend them on the diecast rods and that slides them out of place to be moved around again

that's a good position. the only issue i have with that is that his torso looks weird from the front in the distance because the wings blend in.

Well, I finally got mine. He looks great, but unfortunately my driver-side mirror came off in the box. I don't think anything is actually broken, so I might be able to glue it ok.

Also discovered the human figure is really good at yoga. Great form on her camel pose.

Yes my mirror was like that. Just a bit of superglue did the trick

yes. glue it back. it's the best repairing case. you might read my post a while ago. mine came off during transformation without me noticing. I almost threw it to trash bin by mistake.

My did the same when I took it out of the box. I glue it back on, and had no problems.

@Hadlen_Weltall is right. International orange is a perfect match for lahire.

I'm adding other paint apps too. Starting with the carbon fiber wheel inserts.

Don't worry. There's a lot of missing paint. I might also give this guy a wash to help bring out his details.

Edit... @QuinJester was right about hotfire. I had to rewatch the emgo review to remember that he's a mess in alt mode too. I have to go with plan c.

He can stand taller, and the legs can bend more forward. But remember to change back to the shorter way when you tramsform him to car mode.

Yeah that's how I've been transforming him from the beginning. The Bumblebee that I have him paired with is the blue circus bc02 which is oversized. Hot rod standing next to him with his legs extended they are almost the same exact height without his legs extended he's a manlet. It's pretty much the same trick that they used for Human Alliance Bumblebee to give him better leg articulation and to be slightly taller.

An outstanding figure. Fun transformation. Amazing how all the car bits disappear. I got rid of all my official MPM’s, but I will seriously collect these from DX9 X UT collaborations if they are all like this.
