Woohoo. I just got mine from TF Source today that I pre-ordered almost 2 years ago. He was supposed to be my first 3P figure, but instead he is my 5th.

As I was opening up the box I remembered that they originally were going to have the staff with the figure and two flame/firing effects. Guess they decided to drop one of the effects and the staff.

 

I would love to see someone make alternate heads for this guy

 

I took some pics of La Hire with Peru Kill:









La Hire is a bit out of scale in car mode compared to Peru Kill, and also out of scale with MP cars. He's almost the right scale with the Ectotron Ecto-1 though:

 

First off beautiful pictures! Secondly I think that that scale is actually about right. The Aventador is bigger then the centenario. The only picture that I could find was from a video game but Forza has everything in scale with everything and it's all officially licensed so just as good?
And there's also this picture but it's with special edition versions of both cars so I'm not sure if there are any size differences between these and the original
Anyway the roof of the Aventador sits almost 2 in higher then the centenario and the Aventador is longer but also heavier. It has a more powerful engine but has more to move. Where as the centenario is wider.

*EDIT* your pictures also make me very happy because I have made the same comparison with blue circus bumblebee against Peru kill who is still taller and I have no problem with Le hot rod being smaller than bumblebee because he is a smaller car. So yay headcanon

 

Does anyone who has BSL-Toys KO Peru Kill see it as a closer paint job to La Hire than UT's? Seems like the glossy blacks might be close?

Would pick up both for that.

 

Mine came in last night; they weren’t kidding when they said it’ll arrive by 8pm.



The only qc I have with it is the left side mirror popped off (glued in now). The leg parts was kinda confusing until I realize how to open the lower calf piece (instruction as usual is useless) to form the legs. The tab to connect the heel is pretty tough to tabbed into as well.

TF source actually; yes I’m surprised too, they are usually the last to arrive, but I did paid for 3 days priority (for an extra dollar), and apparently their warehouse is in NV so it was only one state over.

Bummer man   You every think about canceling and ordering him somewhere else? TFS-Express has him for about $90 with shipping included.

 

Did anyone gets theirs from TFS Express yet?

 

I have mine from their preorder site. So it came from the uk. It arrived already on monday, but mine had some scratches... Doubt I get any replacement parts, even though tfs express said they messaged dx9.

But this transformer shows some true craftsmanship. Really magnificent how it looks and transforms. But the instructions are truly useless...

 

I feel like I only use TFSource once every two or three years. Looks like this is one of those times!

 

I love how everyone except Ben on youtube can eventually figure this guy's transformation out. I know he didn't get instructions but he still couldn't manage to transform it correctly.

 

Is BBTS not carrying this? Couldn't find it on there.

 

I got mine from their UK pre-order site, arrived on Monday  

Still really impressed with mine. Can't find any noticeable imperfections in the paint. I'm weighing up whether to add some extra paint detailing though...

 

Where are the scratches?

 

I dunno man..it seems they have gradually stop taking in POs for 3P stuff.

They haven't stopped carrying 3P stuff, but they've cut back considerably. I find it hysterical that the first page you linked has a preorder for TFEVO (the other Hot Rod) since that entire company seemed to fold right after the initial limited release wasn't well received (I have one and actually like him better than LA Hire- but I'm an outlier). BBTS often puts up preorders for things they never get (that are readily available elsewhere).

In other news, I got my LA Hire today and am happy to report that unlike TFEVO he actually is small enough to look ok with my movie MP's. Still wish he was shorter, but this is tolerable.
