Overall: I think Skorponok is okay. He's not a standout but he's not awful.

Specific: I think Skorpy gets the job done of representing the character for Kingdom, but is about 20% shy of the better deluxes that came before. He seems a bit small and I wish his transformation did a bit more to collapse the legs and chest. As it stands, the scorpion legs can just BARELY touch the ground in beast mode and the entire thing can just rest on the expanded chest. Unlike Blackarachnia and T30 Waspinator, the legs cannot support him. I don't generally use instructions but I had to look at his to make sure that there wasn't something wrong with how I was doing the chest and head for beast mode.

The articulation is decent, there are sideways ankle tilts and the right foot has forward ankle tilt but neither have backwards, just about everything else you'd expect exists:
    -Head ball
    -bicep and thigh swivels
    -elbows and knees
    -shoulders and hips
    -w̶r̶i̶s̶t̶ Claw swivels
    -Claws open
    -Waist

The cyberbee is very weird and I'd rather have a single large missile as the second weapon. Both attachments are hidden in the bottom of the box like other deluxes have done, so don't chuck 'em!

The left claw on mine came detached in the box and I had to put it back on. It was eventually do-able but I had to remove the top claw to do it.

Oh yeah one last thing, I don't like the curved claws. I know Kingdom is going for more accurate beast modes than following the original toy or show, but if Dinobot can be featherless then Skorponok can have straight claws! You just can't make them do the rapid clamping satisfyingly with the curve, it's just now right. And they look really weird with the straight-forward facing rockets and cyberbee which now sort of aim out of the side of the claw. It wasn't broken Hasbro, don't fix it. They're easy enough to remove so maybe there will be a 3rd party fix like Cheetor's gun.

Every time I look at him on my shelf I think of Danny Devito.
I echo your comments on his beast mode chest not closing and his legs being… useless.
Otherwise he’s an ok toy. Definitely much prefer the original (even though it’s not screen accurate).

Ya he isn’t bad but he also isn’t good. Just kinda there. Something feels off about him. His robot legs at the knees are kinda loose. The arms have nice articulation. But he feels to short and chubby. I wish he was a voyager. The Predacons need a voyager team member. Yes Dinobot is technically a Pred but we all know he is a Maximal. One other issue is the waist like to pop off. CA8913B4-84EC-4FD4-A69D-82D70B982A5E.jpeg His headsculpt is pretty nice FFC5FA5F-1F54-404E-9D8F-CD98B6675772.jpeg

Accessories are good. You get the double missile and Bee. Which appear in show and original toy.

He isn’t pretty from the side

With his other predacons. It really shows how short and stubby he is. He shouldn’t be smaller than Blackarachnia.

Scorpion mode is the better of the two modes. He sits on his stomach. If you look at the underside it feels incomplete. The Scorpion legs are super loose and pop off easily. But it you keep him in a normal pose he looks great.

I think he looks great. Of course, I'm not a stickler for scale.

I wish his torso wasn't so square. It's just not appealing the way his legs almost seem to grow out of nowhere, his waist almost entirely over shadowed by the un-tucked shirt look.

I'm pretty sure he's accounting for that. It's not like Kingdom Scorponok only comes up to Kingdom Megatron's knee. Adding the appropriate height of his visible thigh Scorponok in the screencap is about as tall relative to Megs as the Kingdom toys are.

Scorponok is the correct scale, Kingdom Blackarachnia is too tall. Doesn't bother me personally, but she was always too tall. (she should be shorter than Cheetor, which she's not) I'm not a super stickler for scale, though, but for some people it is a point of contention, so it's worth pointing out that Scorps isn't the one "in the wrong."

It's not much of an issue (imo) when viewed at lower angles like the packaged pics in the first post, but yeah it's really evident in @bignick1693 's images taken at a higher angle. Some paint on the bottom hinges might have made a slightly better illusion.

Still very much looking forward to him despite the less than glowing reviews so far. The beast mode looks so large and imposing, essentially the opposite of Blackarachnia's curled up spider mode.

Huh? The legs were 100% useless on the original toy.

After giving us Fuzor Quickstrike there is no way you can convince me that the original Beast Wars Scorponok toy was actually any good for a toy scorpion. It doesn't even measure up to RID2015 Paralon.

I could go for a Selects Sandstorm and/or Double Punch.

I actually like the alt mode… maybe useless was not the right word, more like too fiddly.
The original toy was more fun / gimmicky to play with though.

What does he looks like with the torso extended, meaning not plugged into the waist area with the chest panels, maybe there is something to work with for a addon to erase the stubby effect

Mine arrived today, and I definitely wish he was taller in bot mode.

I got Scorponok yesterday and I'm kind of disappointed in the figure. I don't really care about the scale or the height - scale has never bothered me. The joints are nice and tight. However, I wish the bottom of the Scorpion mode would lock together better. As someone else in this thread said, it just feels incomplete. I'm surprised that they couldn't have designed it better.

Scorponok just continues and reinforces my overall feelings on the Beast Wars toys in the Kingdom line. They look great but I don't think that they are necessarily better than the original toys that they were based on.
